Master of Health Care Leadership You will learn… The Master of Health Care Leadership degree provides a broad-based instruction on the business of leading a health care organization or department. The coursework was developed by leaders in the health care industry and is specifically designed to encompass all phases of health care leadership. Management courses in the areas of personnel, medical practice operations, management information systems and finance emphasize their application in the health care industry. Additionally, instruction in leadership, law and ethics, marketing, and quality control explore the social and political elements facing health care today and provide tools to navigate the rapidly changing landscape.

Whether your interest is in clinic or hospital management, acute and long-term care, or a home health or hospice agency, this degree prepares you to effectively meet the challenges of your organization. Where is the Master of Health Care Leadership offered? We offer adult-focused master’s degrees in Wichita, Topeka, greater Kansas City area and online. Not all courses and programs are available in all locations or in both online and on-campus formats. Please check with your Admissions Counselor for more details.

How many credit hours will it take to complete the program? Each three-credit course is offered in an eight-week session, with on-campus courses meeting one night a week. The Master of Health Care Leadership degree requires 36 credit hours.

Is the program accredited? Yes. All Friends University undergraduate and graduate degrees are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Will I be required to take a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)? No. Neither test is required for entrance into graduate programs at Friends University. All graduate programs require a pre-admissions interview with the program director.
