L1 Geogebra in Secondary Math (Web Course)

This online workshop will introduce the Geogebra freeware that enables students to visualize math concepts from the common core to conic sections, all the way to differentiation of trigonometric functions. Participants will learn to develop visualizations and develop 10 lessons using Geogebra that will utilize whiteboards, projectors or a computer lab, depending on what technology is available to each student. Designed for elementary and middle school teachers—participants will learn the effective components of project-based learning and the research behind it. They will learn how to adapt the activities for the learning style and level of the individual student. Participants will learn how to write plans for PBLs that they can use immediately in their classrooms!
