Developing technology-enriched learning environments for students is one way to encourage curiosity and creativity. As teachers, we have opportunities to model and demonstrate effective use of digital resources. One easily accessed digital tool is the digital camera. Your “point and shoot” digital camera can do a lot more than you might realize. Most cameras come with settings and adjustments you can make to take the best pictures possible. In this workshop, you will learn: essential digital camera features and options, how to transfer photos from a digital camera to a computer, and essential photographic techniques. Developing these technology skills will allow teachers to infuse technology into classroom learning opportunities for students. Please bring a flash drive and a digital camera (with the manual if you have it).
