I had the delight of being invited to the Twinkle by Wenlan and Lela Rose shows. I was also able to attend the Ohne Titel show. The Ohne Titel show carried a lot of black, gray, and olive green – very Fall indeed. It was a lot of quirky draping, mixing of textures & materials. Overall, I thought it was quite interesting, and I liked the neutral beauty palette on the models.

The Twinkle By Wenlan show was very whimsical and magical. Wenlan used more colors like yellow, vibrant purple, and bits of red. The designs reminded me of more of a modern fairytale, with beautiful feminine silhouettes and structures. No surprise that her inspiration was a “dark fairy tale, like Hansel & Gretel”.

The Lela Rose collection was gorgeous. Models rocked poofy buns, and the most colorful palette compared to the other two shows. The looks were definitely a lot more edgier and sophisticated, while remaining very feminine.

I WILL ONLY STAY 3 DAYS
Ten girls wearing a wig, large sunglasses and a t-shirt with “I WILL ONLY STAY 3 DAYS” written on it appeared outside the shows of Moschino, John Richmond and Gucci. It was a provocative message (an idea from ATTILA BENE ORTZ and produced by silvia®anzi and emotioneventi) which comes in the wake of the decision of famous editor of US Vogue Anna Wintour to ask Italy to reduce Milan Fashion Week. “The idea was born after Anna Wintour said before Milan Fashion Week that she would only stay three days and from the subsequent reaction from the whole fashion world,” said Silvia Ranzi, PR Specialist. “This once again shows that she is still the most influential person of all in fashion, and that what she decides when she wakes up on a morning is what the world will do”, she added. The reaction from the mass media was surprising because the people organizing the event hadn’t announced anything about it in advance. “Our action was definitely not against Wintour, we had simply printed her sentence on t-shirts. We wanted to see a reaction that could be freely interpreted. Many newspapers have reported the spirit and light-heartedness of our action but the majority said that this was a protest, confirming that her decisions are not appreciated” concluded Silvia.

Blogger of the moment...
Interview Susana R - When did you decided to start your blog and how was the process? When I first started my Blog it was just for fun and because I love fashion. I used to visit fashion blogs every single day until I've decided to create my own and share my ideas and opinions on the fashion industry. My blog used to be called The Stiletto Effect and was only written in English, but I've decided to change it to Susana R. (my name - www.susanar.com) and also to start writing in Portuguese. Right now I'm a professional blogger because it evolved a lot since I started. I'm also studying to be a fashion consultant and a stylist. - When did you realize you liked fashion? Ohhh well I guess since ever (lol what a clichĂŠ) but the truth is that even when I was a little girl I loved to dress my dolls (especially my Barbie dolls) and adored everything fashion related, like clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. I also used to dress my mother's clothes and shoes and wanted to choose my own clothes since like I was 3 years old. - How would you define your style? I always say my style is a mix, something like "rock chic meets punk chic meets casual"! Of course I like to dress fancy and posh outfits sometimes (to go to an event, a party, fashion week) but my daily outfits are ripped jeans, leather pants, tees, my black all-stars or my Dr. Martens heeled boots oh and accessories (skulls, snakes and stuff like that) that's what I really like! And even when I get all dressed up to a party (even posh family lunches or whatever) I always add something that is totally my style (like a snake ring or a skull necklace). Thanks God my family got used to it! - To know you a little bit more, who are your fashion references and icons? Many British bands are a huge source of inspiration to my outfits, from Sex Pistols to The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, The Cure and so on. I also love Kate Moss, since the first time I put my eyes
on her, Carine Roitfeld is amazing too, alternative fashion mags, Vogue Paris and Vogue Italy are great references too.
- For what we’ve seen so far you are a huge Alexander McQueen fan, how do you think his death would affect the fashion world? I still can’t believe it. When my friend told me (we were chatting online) I just couldn’t believe it! It was such a loss, I felt so sad. I was and still am a huge fan, his work was very creative and inspiring, he was a fashion genius (I believe he was born with it, like a gift). The fashion world has already been affected and will be, because they can continue with the brand and put a great designer behind it (I’ve heard rumors about Gareth Pugh, and don’t get me wrong
I adore Gareth’s work) but how will someone completely understand McQueen’s essence and mind to continue his work?! No, it’s impossible. I believe the designer who will stay with McQueen’s brand will do a fabulous job, but it will not be McQueen, there was only one! - You attended Lisbon Fashion Week this season, how would you describe designers proposals and which trend was your favourite? I atended Lisbon Fashion Week and I also worked backstage with the designers which was pretty cool because I could see both sides of the fashion shows. It’s amazing to see the models on the runway with fabulous looks, but most people have no idea how stressful it is at the backstage (dressing the models, fitting the clothes, preparing everything). But it is also great to work backstage because we can meet the designers, touch the clothes, the shoes, the accessories. I loved all of this season's shows and to be honest I wasn't expecting to love everything but they were so creative; I mean, we could see who they are through their work but also see the trends! I totally recommend visiting the blog dailymodalisboa.blogspot. com to see the collections. Nude and flower palettes were my fave trends.
With former “Blogger of the Moment”: Kira Fashion.
- Besides managing your blog you also offer an online shop for fashionistas to buy your pieces, how did you get started with that and why did you decided it was time to give some things out? I receive many gifts from stores and brands and to be honest I can't wear everything, so I've decide to create an online store and sell those things, especially because most of them are new and I offer good prices and it is also a good way to clean the closet and only keep what I want. - This is our FIM obligatory question: Do you follow trends or try to build them yourself? Yes I do follow trends, but I'm not a trend addict. Like I've said before I love casual outfits, so when I like a new trend I try to mix it with my own style. - Favourite place to shop? Topshop, H&M, ASOS, net-a-porter, vintage stores and street markets! - What was the last thing you’ve bought? lol the new trend: clogs! But now I'll have to give them a rock chic vibe ;) - What is your best kept secret in fashion (that you can reveal to our readers)? If I tell you guys, I'll have to kill you haha! Lets see it's not really a secret, but to read a lot of fashion books and magazines, to know the trends, the designers, the shows and especially to know what's happening in the world right now (economy, culture, art, etc). - What other blogs do you recommend us and who would you like to be the next "blogger of the moment"? I recommend: Jak & Jil, Dimogonda, Caroline's Mode, Cocorosa, Am-Lul, Fashion Whisper, Pó de Diamante, Kate Loves Me, Fashion Toast, In Vogue (http://invoguewithsilvanaquerido. blogspot.com/) Style Bubble and The Chains of Love. I would like Oliver from "Fashion Whisper" to be the next blogger of the moment, because I love his style!

Charlotte Gainsbourg (IRM): The actress and daughter of famous singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg (film director, actor and singer in the ‘60s recorded a duet with Brigitte Bardott) launches new album in which he expresses his medical experience after exposure to a water skiing accident, the abbreviation “IRM” means in French “MRI.” On this album you can hear the sweet voice of Charlotte coupled with Beck’s genius who made this album produced by it. Styles are heard folk / indie / rock, deep lyrics reflected the experience of singer / songwriter who tries to see the most positive way what happened. After many years without recording any album I dare say that this really can bring back to life his musical career and is one of the best records. Recommended for anyone who wants to expand its musical culture, you can enjoy with your favorite drink and the tranquility of a day of leisure. Salut!.
La Roux (La Roux): The English electropop duo released disc whose name comes from a name that Eleanor Jackson (Elly Jackson, vocals) read in a book of names for babies in a bin, meaning "the redhead" (French , "Le Roux"). Elly The band also consists of Ben Langmaid who also handles the work of co-production and cowriting, the sound is influenced by '80s pop like that by Eurythmics, New Order, Depeche Mode among others. If you have not heard this duet was time, recommendation to start a good night of music, "In for the kill." Enjoy it!.
Music Review Julie Doiron (I can Wonder What you did with your day): The Canadian artist has released a new album last year (2009), although I have not discussed the above at this time I want to bring a little about this artist output "Eric's Trip" to leave the band who began his career as a soloist. Previous work by Julie reflected the experience of his divorce. In this case, from indie rock artist conveys aspects of everyday life, love when and when not a breath of fresh air, full of life, this is precisely what you want to convey aspects of life. Great album to enjoy at any occasion, especially if it is in outdoor activity.
The XX (XX): The English band led by Romy Madley Croft in the past 2009 has gradabo their first studio album entitled "XX", produced by them has had a successful scope on all music charts around the world. The ultra sexy voice croft next to that sound so sexy and charming create a special atmosphere that lead the mind to fly further. Sensuality, desire and emotion is what characterizes them. We can also hear the band performed covers for the artists who took them as influences. Incredible sound at night and any time we can relax, Indie sound and what else you can need?.

- To begin with I want to ask about you, how did you started your musical career?, Do you have influence from your mother, maybe that helped you take a step and to put you in the world of music?. Yes, girl I had strong musical influences from my mom and my dad is a great musician and songwriter (Marcelo San Juan). In my house we always listened to good music and it was common to be surrounded by musicians and attend concerts and tours. Since childhood I had the opportunity to record vocals for Flavia Palmiero, thanks to my mother's second husband, (Daniel Garcia), who were my first experiences as a professional singer. Then followed some advertising jingles for radio and tv and I was gaining experience recording in studios. But recently at age 17 I knew I wanted to devote myself to that. - In addition to this solo project that you are developing did you have other musical projects, how was that experience?.
I did everything. To rehearsing rock songs with a band but the songs were not for my vocals and I did not have the courage to ask the musicians to tone them for me(laughter). My big blank was when I worked as a singer and entertainer of events for the RAF company that had the product "Videoke" (it was a karaoke machine). I learned many songs and I stepped on many stages in the city and the coast. Another important training for me was a duet I did with Manuel Moreira (Cabernet vocal sextet), did songs by the Beatles and Stevie Wonder and we present several times at The Cavern.
- Regarding you as soloist, what is the musical style that influences you, any band or artist?. My biggest influence from the vowel is Stevie Wonder. I love black music in general, Mariah Carey, gospel, Ella Fitzgerald ... I also influencing bands like Steely Dan and Djavan from the concept of sound and musical arrangements.
- What are your plans for this 2010?. Playing a lot with my band and basically finish recording the album and editing. -. Do you have any proposal for record company?. For now no, but neither showed much material as I prefer to make it independent. - How did you meet people with whom you work? (Ie your musicians). The drummer I met him at the music school where I studied and now the guitar player is my cousin. The others knew them by contacts, by other musicians and singers. - If you were given the opportunity to travel around the world to present your work, would you go? What you consider to be essential places to go and that could help your career?. Of course I would say yes! It all adds up. And travel is amazing. I would love to visit Spain in depth and at the other end would put me in Los Angeles. - Is there anyone who you consider your artistic bone, someone has given you and support you and help you in every way to advance your music career?. My mom is a very important time to listen to views with my dad we hit a little more. A person that helped me was my singing teacher Katie Viqueira, which changed the way I use my voice for good! Many people pulling me very cool and I listen to everybody, from my friends, my boyfriend, my family. Always up there, because the last word I have. je. - Have you record an album?. I'm recording the first! But I stakes in several. - Finally, do you have a desire for this 2010?. May we all live by what we love and be happy doing it.

Three cool events around Milan Women’s Fashion Week Spike Jonze / Super & Chocolate great premiere What happens when two great brands like Super & Chocolat organize an event and include a Spike Jonze art? Magic happens! So Friday 26th February we went to a Special Store Milan (Porta Ticinese 80) to see the screening of a movie by American director Spike Jonze : “Las nueve vidas de Paco. 15 years later”.We really enjoyed the film, especially with our pop corn, hot dogs and beer.
Duty Gorn Trice Show Later we went to Spazio Dante 14 where Italian artist Duty Gorn presents his paintings.
In a modern space we can see 15 acrylic portraits. The artist calls his art style “pop/optikal, which means a cross between pop and street art.
Blue Logan: Fashion Illustrations On Saturday 27th February we went to the cocktail opening arranged by PWP and FOUR ROSES for the first exhibition of fashion illustrations by British artist Blue Logan.
We loved Blue Logan’s amazing ability to draw both the catwalk and the mood of the collections, with 15 illustrations that include pieces from the collections of designers like Galliano, McQueen (RIP Genius!), Versace, Prada, D&G, etc. Plus we enjoyed the cocktail and the great ambience in Via Tortona 12.

Alice In Wonderland Alice Kingsley: “Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
I’m sure many of you were excited to see Tim Burton’s remake of the classic, Alice In Wonderland. It stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and Mia Wasikowska.
In my personal opinion, I thought the story plot was alright, nothing too outstanding. However, what made me love the film were the costume design and the aesthetics of the movie. The makeup and clothing were absolutely intricate and stunning. It really did play well with the characters’ personalities. The graphics were phenomenal as well, even better with the 3D.
The Mad Hatter: “Have I gone mad?” Alice Kingsley: “I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

1. How was the proyect the name borned? The proyect born as an idea that i had, i love to fit clothes with accesories, not always get what i wanted about things and the colours that i like to wear, it’s so i start to weave them, in function as the others said decided to make them for other people. And the name… i think that we all know the origin, after to see and know the 21 seasons of The Simpson, the name was inevitable to include it in the proyect. 2. Only you make this? Yes, by the moment i’m who design and develop this idea. 3. Till when you start to weave? It’s hard to answer, the truth i don’t remember; in my family all the womens weave, so it’s a bit of inheritance and inhabit that i learned as child. 4. Where can we find your merchandise? Through my blog www.lasfloresdeluciloles.blogspot.com You can contac me or see the stores where the accesories are. 5. Do you have a personal store or someone who invest on this proyect or it’s something completely independent? Totally independent, i started with a little investment and it keep sustaining alone. 6. At last, do you have some objetive that you want to reach with your merchandise? My objetive was and is create without boring, support the rythm and tendencies not loosing my style, it’s something important; but at last, the people keep the same acceptance till now; the one that results more that i spected, is the most that i enjoy.
