In May, 2011 the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich and Frog Hollow Vermont State Craft Center in Burlington announce a collaboration that involved Vermont artists in the creation of five benches for Montshire Museum's Woodland Garden. The goal was to both expand public awareness of and appreciation for the work of Vermont artisans, and provide artistic and functional features that will enhance visitors' enjoyment of Montshire's Woodland Garden.
Members of the Vermont Furniture Guild and juried Frog Hollow artisans were invited to submit proposals by December 1, 2010. This catalogue contains the proposals of the winning entries exhibited at Frog Hollow in May, 2011 before being permanently installed in the Montshire Museums Woodland Gardens.
