Our Legacy Australia’s oldest bush charity We are proud to be continuing the legacy of our visionary founder, Reverend John Flynn, who was determined that all those who “live beyond the furthest fence” should have access to the same support and care that we enjoy in the city. Since 1912 we have stood with people who live in the outback, sharing their ups and downs, joys and struggles. We are the knock on the front door, the listening ear, the caring counsel and the advocate for the people of remote Australia.
