Take Your Travel Experience Further: The Hosted Trip Difference Unparalleled Service and Knowledge Every Step of the Way Dear Traveler, One of our favorite things about fishing at Campeche is not the fishing. What? You may ask, but it’s true. We love to fish for baby and juvenile tarpon. It can honestly be said that we don’t like getting up in the dark, but we do love being on the water at first light. There are very few things more beautiful than going out across mirror-still water. As you skim along you’re watching this big orange ball lift gently, but surely up off the horizon. This is what we’re talking about and we absolutely love mornings in Campeche. Then a few minutes later as your guide slowly pulls the boat into the mouth of the lagoon, you gaze ahead and see tarpon rolling, as if in slow motion, in the early morning stillness of the lagoon. This is Campeche, and the day is just starting. Hours later after a late lunch, sometimes eaten while running from one place to another, the heat is up and you’ve had a good morning, so your guide turns the boat back and before long you see Campeche on the sky line. Now until cocktails are served, you might take a nap or a swim, read a book, go to Starbucks or get your tackle ready for tomorrow. Later, we’ll enjoy a walk around the colonial town of Campeche and choose a restaurant for dinner, of which there are many. It’s a great program and we love it. Better yet, we think you will too. This can be easily dove-tailed with Grand Slam Lodge, where we are a few days before arriving in Campeche. So, catch up with us here, or join us earlier for four days of bonefish, permit and tarpon at Grand Slam. Refer to the respective itineraries for more details and pricing, and then give Frontiers a call! Sincerely,
Barry and Cathy Beck
