2010 Review

Dear Customer, 2010 has been a very big year for Frontline LED. As Ireland's most advanced supplier, manufacturer and consultant on LED Lighting we have been lucky enough to work on some very exciting projects with some very exciting customers. This year, we deepened our relationship with Tesco Ireland as a number of stores added our FLF- and FLN- series floodlights to their design. Stores in Ballybeg, Kinnegad joined Ballinasloe, Newcastle-west and 110 other stores in taking stock of Frontline LED's FLFseries floodlights. Use of our lighting fittings has allowed Tesco to cut 450,000 tonnes of CO2 and save up to €232,000 in electricity and maintenance savings. Tesco were the first to take advantage of our amber range of LED floodlights to illuminate their signs instead of 400w Sodium lamps – a saving of 75%. We also worked closely with Cork Institute of Technology across three projects this year, installing a range of FLF floodlights and FL-L light panels for the institute. As we are able to provide accurate light simulations, work closely to ensure they only bought what they needed (i.e. 30w units in place of 90w units for part of the Student Building) we helped CIT to save €193,000 over the lifetime of their LED units. We are all looking forward to working closely with them in the future on further savings. This year also saw us begin a relationship with the Health Service Executive, keen to test the potential for energy saving FL-L series light panels in a hospital environment. As they are ceramic units, the FL-L series panels are easy to clean and remain cool to touch. This is perfectly suited to a clean environment and as you will see already a number of hospitals have installed FL-L6060 panels this year. Again, success in this project relied on Frontline providing accurate simulation and testing data to the HSE, working with them on design and accurately placing lights, something we are do expertly as manufacturers not middle-men. As we look to 2011, one of our most exciting projects yet is about to get underway. The LED retro-fit for London-based construction firm Byrne Group is going to be our biggest contract yet. With lights to a value of almost €200,000, we look set to save the company £1.3 million (€1.52 million). This is an exciting phase for Frontline LED as we grow with our partners in savings and market reach. We also looks forward to cooperating closely with ESB Moneypoint on their LED pilot and helping to maximise savings for them. We intend to stay ahead of all others in 2011, introducing more ground breaking products like our universal LED emergency backups. We look forward to working with all our current and potential customers in 2011 to find LED solutions that make sense for them. We intend to cut as much CO2 through electricity savings as possible. Your savings are our business. Many thanks for your support this year and best of luck for 2011. Best Regards, Cian O'Flaherty MD

Frontline LED Installation References TESCO IRELAND In 2009 with our partners DCS Electrical, Frontline LED won three tenders to supply Tesco Ireland with LED lighting for retro-fits in the areas of car parking, delivery and display lighting. Frontline LED helped them to achieve as much as 75% savings on power consumption in their car park, delivery yard, loading bays and their display spotlighting.

Loading Bay Lighting Tesco Ireland installed over 110 FLF-030s in loading bays nationwide. This represents a 62% saving over conventional 2x40w units and a lifetime increase of 500%. The regular switching of these lights does not cut LED lifetime unlike conventional units.

External Lighting Tesco branches in Newcastle-West, Ballinasloe and Edenderry all installed external LED lighting from Frontline LED.

Tesco Ballinasloe 6 FLS-090 streetlights (replaced 250w Son) 7 FLF-090 Floodlights (replaced 4000w Son)

Frontline LED Installation References Health Service Executive Following the release of our groundbreaking LED Light Panels with Emergency Backup, Frontline LED with our partners DCS Electrical, began working with the Irish National Health Service (HSE) to retro-fit them into hospitals. Cahersiveen Hospital In conjunction with the HSE South Area, Cahersiveen Hospital installed 8 units of our FLL6060 53w LED Light Panels (incl. 4 emergency backup units). Making substantial savings of circa 35% on consumption, the HSE also added substantial maintenance savings through a 4x longer lifetime than 4x18w T8 modular fittings. The cleaner light, with less heat, no flicker, more natural daylight colour and a cleaner luminaire surface offered the HSE substantial operational advantages.

Listowel Hospital Following successful consultation on a renovation planned for Listowel Hospital, Frontline LED provided 20 FL-6060 53w LED Lightpanels (incl. 6 emergency versions). Frontline's capacity to work customers through a light-plotting process, projecting light levels and ensuring quality replacements for conventional lighting ensured the HSE South was 100% confident in its switch to LED.

ABOVE: Easy to install LED Light Panels have saved the HSE 50% on consumption and many more euros in maintenance in Cahersiveen. BELOW: With its uniform light output, non-flicker and easy clean ceramic surface, LED Panels are a superior source of light in every way.

CO2 Reductions for CIT in 2010 Frontline LED's lighting is estimated to cut 572,416 tonnes of CO2 for CIT over the LED lifetime.

External Lighting With our Irish wholesale partner Medlocks Wholesale, Frontline supplied 44 units of FLF-090 floodlights in November 2009 for retro-fit of a range of 400w Son floodlights. The IT saves E55,000 over the 13 year lifetime of the LED installation on electricity cuts alone. When maintenance savings are added to electricity savings, the total rises to over E70,000

Student Building After the succes of the external installation, CIT decided to replace 44 units of 400w metal halide lighting in the Student Building with 22 no. of FLF090 and 22 no. of FLF-030 LED floodlights. The newly installed LEDs, 30w used for uplighting and 90w used for area lighting, provided outstanding light and excellent looks. This installation saves CIT E78,000 on electricity costs over the 10 year lifetime of the lamps. When maintenance savings are included, savings rise to E93,000.

Tyco Building / The Clean Technology Company As part of the renovation of the Tyco building at CIT, 44 FL-L6060 light panels to light the office space. To hit the 500lx average that was specified, Frontline recommended 44no of FL-L6060 53w light panels. These were installed instead of 86 no 4x18w fluorescent louvered fittings. Savings of 52% and lifetime over 4 times longer mean that CIT and the new tenant, The Clean Technology Company, are saving over E30,000 in electricity and maintenance over the lifetime of the LED installation.

ABOVE: 44 53w FL-L6060 light panels installed instead of 86 modular fluorescent fittings which consume 72w in total.
