40 days: the big idea “As we enter a new season as a church, we’re wanting to set aside a 40 day period of prayer and fasting, of humbling ourselves before God, and of seeking Him together. Starting on my commissioning service on Sunday, 6th September, the 40 days following will be a time of preparation and consecration, to help us begin this new season in a way that honours Jesus and aligns us for greater fruitfulness. I’m asking all our Missional Communities to ‘pause’ meeting during these 40 days, in order to create some space for a number of other opportunities to engage with God corporately, as a whole church. I’d like to invite you to join us as much as you are able to during this significant time.” John Harding At our Sunday services we will be focusing on Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness and we will have additional worship meetings on Tuesday evenings and prayer meetings on Wednesday to Friday mornings throughout the 40 days. Please pick up a 40 days sheet from the welcome table or look on our website for more details.
