Learn Educate Inspire CHA Clinic

About The Location
Set in a peaceful, picturesque valley in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, East Valley Ranch is comprised of a 26 stall horse barn, three arenas, and a network of trails ranging over 14 miles along the Neversink River. Our newly renovated ranch house, East Valley Lodge, features a spacious living room, dining room, 11 bedrooms, meeting areas, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a sun room, and a wraparound deck overlooking the Neversink River. The CHA clinic is all inclusive (all lodging and meals included in price), and participants will have exclusive access to the Lodge, the Barn and the surrounding area.
CHA Multi-Discipline Clinic
Become a CHA certified riding instructor in English and/or Western disciplines. Five levels of certification can be achieved in the clinic, ranging from assistant instructor to CHA clinician. Your certification level will be at the sole discretion of the clinic staff and no certification of any kind is guaranteed. The certification process is comprised of an evaluation by two certified CHA clinicians over the course of the five-day clinic. The clinic will involve teaching at least four practice lessons, a riding evaluation, a written test and participation in workshops on risk management, teaching techniques, professionalism, and herd management. CHA certification is valid for three years from the certification date, and the instructor must maintain an annual individual membership with CHA. For more information see the CHA website www. cha-ahse.org or contact Emily Gorman at egorman@frostvalley.org or call (845) 985-2254.
