ABOUT SUMMER DAY CAMPS
Frost Valley YMCA Day Camp
Frost Valley YMCA offers a safe, fun, character-building Day Camp for children living in our local communities as well as families staying in the area for the summer. In an effort to make camps affordable for all, tiered pricing and financial assistance is available. Our Day Camp activities are based on healthy, hands-on activities that help children grow in spirit, mind and body, as well as embrace the 8 core values of Frost Valley YMCA: caring, community, diversity, honesty, inclusiveness, respect, responsibility, and stewardship.
Frost Valley YMCA’s programs focus on building and maintaining healthy lifestyles that reflect the interests and needs of a dynamic community. We offer a range of options for children in pre-K through grade 10. We ensure enjoyable camping and recreational experiences for each child. Camp groups are coed and are divided into groups by age and grade. We offer snack options daily at no extra charge. Parents will be responsible for providing a bagged lunch for their camper. Frost Valley is a nut-free facility.
Our counselors, who provide constant supervision and positive role modeling, are what make Frost Valley’s summer camp meaningful. Many are former campers who know our camp culture and are excited to share its traditions. Counselors complete extensive training in our policies and procedures, which stress health and safety first, in a fun environment. All Frost Valley staff and volunteers undergo criminal background checks and are scanned against the National Sex Offender Registry.
In compliance with NY State Health Department and ACA regulations, we maintain an impressive staff-to-camper ratio of an average of 1:5 for our explorers program, 1:8 for day campers and 1:4 for our horse programs.

MEDICAL FORMS
Medical Forms Online
For your convenience, Frost Valley uses Camp Doc (www.campdoc.com) for all camper medical forms. Once your camper is registered, you will receive an email from Camp Doc with a link to submit your medical forms. Please check your email for this link, as Camp Doc applies a late charge for all forms not submitted at least two weeks prior to your camper’s session.
Please make sure to complete all the required health documents through Camp Doc. If you have already filled it out for a prior program you will simply need to verify and update the information you have previously provided. It is incredibly important that Frost Valley has the most accurate emergency contact information should we need to contact a parent or guardian if an urgent or emergency situation arises.
It is also important that we have an up-to-date vaccination record for your camper.
Documentation of two doses of the MMR vaccine is required.
All eligible campers are highly encouraged but not required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend camp.
If you have any questions regarding Camp Doc, please contact our healthcare administrator at 845-985-2291 ext. 225.
Day Camp will run similarly to last summer with health and safety protocols for COVID-19. Stay tuned to our 2023 COVID-19 FAQ page online for more information: www. frostvalley.org/day-camp-covid-faqs.
We will be periodically updating this page as planning and new information unfolds in the coming months.
