Educating Mediation in Professional Contexts Mediation activities in language education are not limited exclusively to cross-linguistic translation, but also to the interlinguistic one. The same message can be relayed in different ways, depending on the situation and the language register of the interlocutor. This type of mediation can be applied in language for specific purposes classes especially. The teacher should, therefore, effectively manage the process of mediation and make it as interdisciplinary as possible.

Explaining Eoncepts – a Mediation Task in Legal English Intra- and interlinguistic mediation means being an intermediary in communication between users of a language or languages, who have different levels of specialist knowledge. It is one of the most important and at the same time the most challenging communication tasks. It is clearly visible in case of Legal English how many difficulties the task causes even to leading experts. The paper presents mediating concepts and examples of tasks consisting in written mediation activities.

Homework in Theory, Research and Practice There has been a lively discussion on homework for many years at all possible levels. Already published statements focus primarily on the effects of homework and social moods. The article critically presents selected threads of this debate and discusses the most important emotional, didactic and methodological aspects related to homework.
