Educating Mediation in Professional Contexts
Mediation activities in language education are not limited exclusively to cross-linguistic translation, but also to the interlinguistic one. The same message can be relayed in different ways, depending on the situation and the language register of the interlocutor. This type of mediation can be applied in language for specific purposes classes especially. The teacher should, therefore, effectively manage the process of mediation and make it as interdisciplinary as possible.

Explaining Eoncepts – a Mediation Task in Legal English
Intra- and interlinguistic mediation means being an intermediary in communication between users of a language or languages, who have different levels of specialist knowledge. It is one of the most important and at the same time the most challenging communication tasks. It is clearly visible in case of Legal English how many difficulties the task causes even to leading experts. The paper presents mediating concepts and examples of tasks consisting in written mediation activities.

Wisdom, Creativity and Innovativeness in Foreign Language Learning and Teaching in Poland
The article might be of interest for all those who care about the codnition and develeopment directions of foreign language teaching in the Polish education system. The core of the text is a an educationa triad i.e. wisdom, creativity and innovativeness. These are the features, abilities and attitudes that are necessary to design and introduce educational innovations effectivetely. The articel opens with relevant terminology; then it presents macrosystemic innovations in the Polish education system after 1989. The background for this retrospective is the the concept of a friendly environment in FLT. The key part of the paper is the analysis of needs and opportunities for introducing mikroinnovations in the process of foriegn language learning and teaching in Polish schools – both in light of the recent lockdown and in normal circumstances.

Language Mediation in Foreign Language Classroom
The aim of the article is to present the concept of mediation in the context of the process of learning and teaching foreign languages. The article will define the concept of mediation language activities, and also will present their areas: mediating a text, mediating concepts and mediating communication. These areas refer to the descriptors characterisation set out in the supplementary CEFR version of 2018 (CEFR. Companion volume with new descriptors). The article will also present the place that mediation occupies in the Polish curriculum for modern foreign languages. Examples of exercises developing mediation skills at a modern foreign language lesson will also be shown.
