The Martyrdom of St. Barnabas, One of the Seventy نياحة القديس برنابا أحد السبعني رسوال Apostles.31st Dec -21st Keiahk كيهك٢١ - ديسمرب٣١ On this day also, St. Barnabas, one of the seventy apostles, يف مثل هذا اليوم استشهد القديس برنابا أحد was martyred. He was from the tribe of Levi. His ancestors وقد، السبعني رسوال وهو من سبط الوي left Judea long before he was born and moved to the island نزح مقدمو عائلته منذ زمن بعيد من بالد of Cyprus. His name was Joses. God indeed hears and responds to our prayers … but األنبا أبرآم بن زرعة البطريرك ىف نقل جبل ا let us leave the timing of response in God’s hands … .. ملقطم بعد صوات و أصوام ملدة ثالثة أيام for the correct time, is fully comprehended by us … ولكن.. الله فعال يستجيب ويسمع الصالة but the Lord sees the unseen by us … and He knows فمسألة.. لنرتك وقت التنفيذ ىف يد الله what we do not know … أما الرب.. االوقات واألزمنة نحن ال نفهم فيها Beloved, be aware that all prayers which offered to God in contrition, fear, repentance and reverence .. ويعرف ما ال نعرفه.. فإنه يرى ما ال يرى and in accordance with God’s will are accepted … أعلم ان كل الصلوات املقدمة.. ايها الحبيب for God is true in His promises … Ask, and it will be given to you … seek, and you will find … knock, امام الله بخشوع وتوبة ولجاجة وحسب أرادته أسألوا.. فالله صادق ىف وعوده.. كلها مقبولة and it will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7). .. أقرعوا يفتح لكم.. أطلبوا تجدوا.. تعطوا The second group … is the one who asks and asks … but, within truly does not want (his or her) prayers فهو هذا الذى يطلب ويطلب.. أماا النوع الثاىن fulfilled by God … this is an amazing group indeed ولكنه ىف داخله حقيقة يتمنى أن ال+٠٠ +٠٠ … but what is more amazing is that we do this every ولكن.. وهذا نوع عجيب حقا.. يستجيب الله day … .. األعجب أن يكون هذا ما نفعله كل يوم In the morning when we wake up … we pray (and re وتصىل وتقول ىف صاله.. ىف الصباح تستيقظ cite) the morning prayers … protect us … keep us in peace this blessed day … have mercy on us accord أرحمنا.. ولنبدأ بدءا حسنا.. أحفظنا.. باكر ing to Your will … thus, you ask for a blessed start انت تطلب البداية الحسنة.. كإرادتك اىل االيد (to the day) and God’s mercy and at the same time, ورحمة الله و أنت تخطط ىف داخلك لعمل planning within ones self to commit sinful acts … لألنتقام رمبا.. رمبا للتزويع ىف الشغل.. الخطية and maybe to commit truancy (the illegal absence) from work … or perhaps to take vengeance from an- وأنت تشتهى.. رمبا ألذى آخر.. من إنسان ما other person … or to harm another being … desiring تصىل وتقول ليأىت.. شهوات كثرية معرثة many evil lusts … then one prays Thy kingdom come ملكوتك و انت تتمنى من كل قلبك ان يتأخر while one is desiring from the heart the delay of ملكوت الله ألنك مازلت تحيا الخطية و الرش God’s kingdom, since one is living a life of evil and .. ومازلت متعلقا برشور وشهوات كثرية sins and ones (heart) is still attached to evil acts and وهى تدبر لهالك.. وأمثال صوم وصالة إ يزابل many lusts … Examples of these is Jezebel’s fast and prayer … نابوتً اليزرعيىل while she is planning the destruction of Naboth the ما أكرث الصلوات املرفوعة وكلها ممتلئه نفاقا Jezreelite (1Kings 21) ان.. تطلب ىشء وقلبك يشتهى شيئا آخر.. even worse that you pray and ask the church to pray نفس الوقت تلجاً لوسائل غري مقدسة لتحقيق for you while you are resorting to an unholy methods أو تصىل من.. طلباتك كالسحر والشعوذة مثال to achieve your results such as witchcraft and sorcery أجل مشكلها وىف نفس الوقت تستخدم ذراعك for example … or you pray for a problem and at the .. وقوتك البرشية كلها same time you revert to human solutions and depend تحت هذا النوع يدخل النوع الذى ال ينتظر on human hands … Also, under this group, are those who will not wait for بل يرسع بإستخدام.. حتى يستجيب له الرب God to fulfil His promises … but hastens and resort وسائل برشية لتحقيق وعود الله ومثل هذا to human solutions to fulfil God’s promises and this is ىف فالله وعد وهو ما زال.. ما فعله يعقوب what Jacob did … for God promised while he is still أنه أى .. بطن أمه بأن الكبري يستعبد للصغري a babe in his mothers’ womb that the older will serve الصغري وهو يعقوب سوف ينال املواعيد ويرث the younger (Genesis 25:22) … that is the younger who is Jacob will receive and inherit the blessings … والتجأ اىل.. ولكن يعفوب مل يصرب.. الربكة but Jacob did not be patient … and resorted to trickالحيلة واملراوغة لينال مواعيد الله التى كانت ery, in order to receive God’s promises which would سوف تتم ىف حينها وبالطريقة املناسبة والوقت have happened at it’s time at the way and method (that ولذلك تعب يعقوب جدا وعاش.. املناسب God) planned … and because of this, Jacob endured ىف مشاكل ومتاعب حثرية رمبا كان ميكن أن many difficulties and survived many tribulation which he could have avoided, if he awaited for the Lord to .. يتفاداها لو انتظر أن يحقق الرب وعوده fulfil His promises … at the right time as appointed .. بطريقته املنا سبة by God. صادق وهو .. يعمل الرب ان.. أيها الحبيب Beloved … the Lord works … and He is true and just الله يدى يني طلبتك ضع .. وعوده وأمني ىف كل in His promises … put your needs in God’s hand and الله ال يرتك.. و الله سوف ال يتخىل عنك أبدا He will never leave you … for God never leaves His people … .. شعبه + He has visited and redeemed His people, and has أقام لنا قرن.. أفتقد وصنع فداء لشعبه+ raised up a horn of salvation … .. خالص Thousands of years after the Lord gave His promises .. السنني بآالف وعوده الرب ًعطى ا بعد أن … the Lord, never forget His promise of salvation بل.. مل ينىس الرب وعده بخالص البرشية أبدا to mankind … but continually He made His people aware that He did not forget them … the Lord is باستمرار كان يظهر لشعبه أنه مازال يذكرهم loving and knows our feeble nature … therefore, He الله محب جدا وهو عارف.. ومل ينسا هم always gives us signs that He never forgets His sons الله ولذلك فدامئا يعطى.. بطبيعتنا الضعيفة and daughters … .. شواهد عيل انه ال ينىس أوالده Consider, the whole of the old testament … almost, يكاد ال يخلو.. أنظر اىل العهد القديم كله there isn’t a one chapter without an indication of the salvation (of mankind) or symbols and witnesses to اصحاح واحد من موضوع الفداء ورموزه His plan of redemption (for mankind) … and there is ال يخلو جيل واحد من تذكره.. وشواهده no one generation without His promise of salvation for الله ال يرتك نفسه بال.. بخالص الله لشعبه His people … beloved, God does not leave Himself ٠٠ شاهد ىف ا ًى جيل وأى زمان أيها الحبيب without a witness for Him in any generation or period رميا تكون.. أو ورطة.. رميا تكون ىف مشكلة of time … you might be in a problem … or a difficulty … you might be one of those three groups (above) … ولكن.. واحد ا من هؤالء املجموعات الثالثة but your answers are very easy: .. عالجك سهل جدا Review your self … consider the evidence of God’s حياتك ىف الله شواهد اىل أنظر .. راجع نفسك work in your life … إردة حسب تكون ال رميا .. طلبتك راجع..
