The man whose purpose is God will not be hurt
The man whose purpose is God is not hurt, troubled, or bothered if he loses any worldly thing. Like us in this, our teacher Paul the Apostle.. Was it easy for him to leave the position, authority, and connection with the leadership of the people, and the power and tyranny with which he dragged many Christian people into torture and murder? The one who said in his own tongue (I was a persecutor) this indicates his cruelty and might, even his authority that he enjoyed. Was it easy for him, unless God was his goal... He left all these actions and privileges and said, "I have lost all things, and I count them as waste, in order to gain Christ" (Philippians 3:8). His purpose is to win Christ, for whom he lost all these things, without remorse, discomfort, or sadness.
