“Abbeyfield has helped me to achieve many goals in my life. SIXTH FORM STUDENT

WELCOME TO ABBEYFIELD SIXTH FORM Abbeyfield is a very special place, both to study and work. Anyone who visits us acknowledges the welcoming and positive atmosphere and I am proud that this extends into the sixth form. We pride ourselves on the high expectations that we set for ourselves as staff but also for the young adults in our sixth form. This is evident in our behaviour code, our dress code and the ever-improving results our students achieve. They gained a high number of A and A* grades last year and earned places at the top universities including Oxford and Cambridge. This is a testament to the determination and hard work of the students and the commitment of the staff, to always challenge our learners to be the best they can. We have fantastic sixth form facilities, in addition to the great whole school facilities such as the theatre, lecture theatre and super learning centre, our main study room is a great place for independent study work, with computers and laptops for exclusive sixth form use. The second study space contains individual study booths and a larger conference table for group work, as well as kitchen facilities. At Abbeyfield we understand that students are not just

about exams and numbers. We want to send you off into the world as well rounded citizens prepared to take your place in society. There is an extensive range of opportunities in place, from tutor time activities, enrichment tasks, trips, committees and competitions, all designed to help you challenge yourself to be the best you can be. I am sure that lots of people will tell you that A Levels are very difficult, and they are right. It is the most significant educational leap you will make. Abbeyfield will provide support, advice and encouragement and I am delighted that you are interested in finding out more about our values, facilities and opportunities.
