With their high test scores and solid scholastic preparation, graduating eighth-graders are accepted into the top private and Catholic high schools in the area such as Loyola, Marymount, Notre Dame Academy, Crespi, Notre Dame High School, Harvard Westlake, Windward, and Buckley. Most graduates qualify for honors / AP courses.

FAITH

We provide a faith-based education in which students build and deepen their relationship with God.

The Catholic faith informs and shapes our daily life and interactions. The word “catholic” means “universal”. We welcome students and families from all faith backgrounds who desire an excellent education and full participation in the life of our school.

Knowing that your child’s sense of belonging to a caring community is important, each child is part of a faith family led by an eighth grader. Faith family meetings offer engaging activities and participation at monthly school Masses.

SERVICE

We foster students’ innate goodness by raising awareness of others and the world around them.

Service activities instill social responsibility and give our students a strong sense of connectedness within St. Martin of Tours and beyond, as well as an invaluable understanding of the importance of giving to and caring for others.

All grades participate in monthly collections of food along with special Thanksgiving basket and Christmas toy drives. A built-in component of the junior high religion program features an opportunity for students to put their faith into action through hands-on service opportunities in the community at large. Service learning gives students an opportunity to share their gifts with those in need.

ATHLETICS

Active bodies go hand-in-hand with active minds.

Our physical education program is designed to promote holistic wellness, instilling healthy habits that will last your child a lifetime. Through a variety of engaging activities, games, and exercises, we encourage your child to develop physical strength, flexibility, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness. But that is not all. Our program goes beyond physical activity. We emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and building positive relationships.

We offer an extensive extra-curricular sports program for both boys and girls, fielding teams in football, volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Under the direction of the talented staff of coaches, the St. Martin of Tours Eagles are consistent contenders in league competition. Our athletes of all ages and abilities learn that championship seasons are measured not just by win-loss records, but by good sportsmanship, enthusiasm, friendship, fun, skill, and love of the game.
