Background and Design Context:

The heavenly house is provides a safe and

comfortable space for my client to enjoy their life without the fear of dangerous demons. It is a perfect space for both of them to spend the rest of their lives.

33 flood gate street Birmingham is address where I designed my faรงade. It is an industrial area it has got few commercial buildings around it as well.It is just a 15 mins walk from the city centre which makes it closer to all the facilities. That area is quiet artistic as well it has got a lot of graffiti on the walls. That area has got a a train bridge very close to it. There is not many plants around that area. It has a big drainage close to it as well.

My clients are shadow hunters, they kill demons The façade is specially planned to deceive the demon and not let them get into the house. The house has 5 floors including the basement which provides best spot for my client to hide in case any demons invade the house.

The heavenly house doesn’t have a front door it’s just and open space to come in.As soon as you walk in there is a maze which will never let the demon get to the actual door to the house. If the demon is lucky enough and it makes it out of the maze it will never find the door as it is a sneaky sliding brick wall door which demons will never find out

The house is very bright it has got glazing on both the sides going all the way from roof to the third floor. Demons are scared of sunlight. The glazings will act like an armour for my client

Sun path diagrams

Site analysis: The only sounds there I heard was equipments working in the factory and The traffic around there and they were around 50- 80 dp

The average rate of wind speed in the area

I smelled Food Oils And sewage

The average rate of precipitation in the area

3 meters thick outer walls will work as an sound and heat insulator

The sound and smell map for the area

Heat plan of the house and the materials:

Analysis on Ventilation:

the façade will be made out of Bavarian stone, concrete and glass. Bavarian stone will work as a perfect insulated on the walls so will concrete.

Section:

The 3rd floor has got two windows in it in both the bed rooms The 2nd floor has got only plant in them it’s like a green room it has got a window on the front and an exhaust fan on in the bathroom The 1st floor halos got a window at the front and an exhaust fan at the back in the kitchen The ground floor has got a window and opening which allows the air to diffuse in and out The basement has also got a window on the front that part of basement is on the ground

Light testing on model and light section diagram : = symbol for light My faรงade has got glazing inside it starting from the roof to the 1st floor

Precedent studies

Chatsworth maze house is a house in Britain with a maze garden in front of you can only enter in the house after crossing the maze. My followed the same concept and mentored it according to my plan

The Pierre house Architect: San Juan island US The house is where I got my inspiration for making half with the Bavarian stone and the other half with concrete.after that adding glass to it. The house also do not have any front door it’s just an enterence in the side.

Critical analysis:

The height of my building is the aspect which I think could be a problem the building is 15.5 meters tall and for a 4m wide front that tall of a building creates a lot of problems • The light doesn’t go down to the ground floor • Have to use Air conditioner for a better circulation of the air • The house can get very hot in summers because of the 3 meters thick outer walls. • The maze can be a problem if my clients forget the path through them • The house will be high maintenance because of all the glass and green room • Will have to keep the green room clean other wise germs can spread sliver the houses very quickly.

Conclusion The heavenly house will provide my clients that house that they have been wanting all their lives. The bravarian stone describes jace’s personality and concrete the other half describes Clay’s personality. The house will protect them from demons which they have been running from all their life.

Improvement strategies: The lack of daylight and air going to the basement and ground floor not After my visit to the Walsall gallery I learnt how to use a light meter and I only cost more for the air conditioning and electricity bill but it also learnt about other environmental staratergues that we have to consider while designing a house will cause more suffocation in the house.so if I use keep the front of the house fully open like a garden with the maze like Chatsworth house it will solve these problems. The other problem rather than covering the green room up with glass I can change it into a terrace like in Pierre house it will be better for the plants and the clients will get a terrace to enjoy the fresh air.
