FSU Heritage Museum

FUN FACT: Located in the Werkmeister Reading Room in Dodd Hall, the Heritage Museum displays photographs and artifacts that document the history of FSU. The room features a stained glass window that took over 10 years to build and contains more than 10,000 individual pieces.


Vires, Artes, Mores

FUN FACT: Vires, Artes, Mores (Latin for strength, skill, and character) is the official motto of Florida State University.


Cimarron

FUN FACT: Cimarron is the official mascot of the FSU Kid’s Club.


Mode L. Stone Building

FUN FACT: The Stone Building is home to the FSU College of Education. It was originally built in 1977 and was named in honor of former dean Mode L. Stone.


The Unconquered Statue

FUN FACT: The Unconquered statue, located outside Doak Campbell Stadium, represents the unconquered spirit of the Seminoles. At sunset the night before each home football game, the spear is ignited and burns until the next morning.


Westcott Building

FUN FACT: The Westcott building, an iconic symbol of FSU, is the oldest site of continuous higher education in Florida.
