President Barack H. Obama. Rev. Blackmon is a graduate of Leadership St. Louis and currently serves on the boards of The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, Chicago Theological Seminary and WomanPreach!

The REV. DR. RAYMOND RIVERA is the founder of Latino Pastoral Action Center (LPAC), which started as a division of the Manhattan-based NYC Mission Society, the city’s oldest and largest social service agency. Established in 1992, LPAC began after Rev. Dr. Rivera struggled with the dichotomy of the secular versus the sacred. His vision was to develop an organization that dealt with social justice issues from a holistic perspective, thus merging the two. Over the years, he has provided leadership development and technical assistance to hundreds of churches and faith-based organizations around the country, and dozens have developed holistic community-based ministries, including spiritual care, afterschool, youth development, and adult education programs. Rev. Dr. Rivera has served as a pastor, preacher, denominational executive,

organization founder, and community builder. Throughout this time, he has preached, taught, and modeled Christ-centered holistic ministry, particularly in an urban context. In addition, he has lectured and taught at many seminaries and universities throughout the United States and abroad including Union Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, Alliance Theological Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and many others. He is the author of a book entitled Liberty to the Captives: Our Call to Minister in a Captive World.
