The new training room allows making courses and seminars given by Fte maximal in its headquarters.

Meeting rooms Fte maximal’s growth, in terms of staff as well as in commercial relations established, requires an increase and an improvement of the meeting rooms.

The room, which has a capacity for 25 people, has excellent devices in order to make the visitor feel as comfortable as possible during the training. The tables in the room have independent access to internet, TV signal and power, which gives the visitor the possibility of work and test the devices individually. This room is connected to the new showroom, which will be introduced shortly. We will inform you about it soon through this newsletter.
Now that the works are finished, we have five wide and functional meeting rooms that give the company the possibility of having several visits at the same time.

MAX T21 L Fte maximal has successfully launched its new reference MAX T21 L. This DVB-T receiver for SCART connector is an evolution of its predecessor, MAX T21. The company set the challenge of making an even more compact and lighter design, since it is an adaptor that gets connected directly to the SCART connector of the TV, the reduction of its size offers great advantages for the end user. Besides of achieving the smallest product of the market, this new mini-receiver is provided with a RF loops that makes the signal distribution to other devices easier. Unlike the desktop receivers, it does not need an additional lead.
LNC 54 US This new LNC twin with 2 universal outputs means a great advance and highlights the leadership of SMT group in the Low Noise Converter field. With an ultra-compact size, it stands out for its excellent noise phase and its very low noise factor. Its L or “gun” format allows its use in multifocus installation with 2 or more LNC, even for satellites placed at 4.3º
OS 180 G The new Offset Dish OS 180 G is already available. With a 1,95m x 1,80m size, it is produced in a unique piece of galvanized steel. It is provided with a back disk support that gives a great robustness to the set, which, together with its high performance, turns it into the ideal product for the reception of satellites with weak coverage or even in windy areas.
It has the innovative PULL DOWN RAIN COVER system, the protection of the connection that Fte maximal has been giving to all its LNC for 7 years. The launch of this reference means the definitive extinction of the LNC 54 US EVO model, from which Fte maximal sold more than 350.000 units of it.
All the parts of the dish have an anticorrosion treatment and the screws are Dacromet. It is provided in a unique packaging that includes all the assembling accessories. An 89 mm new support, reference P 89 S, is needed for its assembling on floor.

Product News EVO 45+ Helping the installer. Reducing the installation time. Optimizing work. This is what Fte maximal expects with the new antenna EVO 45+. An innovative connection system for the reflectors has allowed us providing an antenna with a unique presentation of packaging that hardly penalizes the volume. This new antenna will be available by the middle of May. The current reference EVO 45 will be kept in the catalogue.

MF 4U This new multifocus support allows installing up to 4 LNC in only one dish. As the rest of the MF family, it stands out for being really universal since its design allows keeping it griped to any LNC, regardless the type of dish or support of it and its diameter. The size of the dish will set the maximum reception angle according to the enclosed table.

Products that are going to disappear Due to the arrival of the Analogue Switch Over in many countries, and the changes it means in the new radioelectric spectrum, Fte maximal announces the cancellation of the range of products of several wide band amplifiers with three UHF inputs. Masthead amplifiers: The references KMC 300 and KMC 304 will be removed. In these cases, the alternatives are the AMC 210 and AMC 214 amplifiers. Multi-Band amplifiers: The references CC 300 and CC 304 are removed, being reference ZM 350 the ideal solution.

n February 25th 2010 the law 107/2009 from the European Commission came into effect, implementing the 2005/32/EC European law, concerning the ecologic design and energetic requests of digital receivers. This law obligates the designers and manufacturers to reduce the energetic consumption of the receivers while they are on, and especially when they are on standby mode, and it also introduces new functions with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the electric consumption. From that date on, all the basic digital receivers (known as FTA) without display must have their consumption lower than 1 W on standby or 2 W in case that the device has display. This low consumption in standby mode is known in the practical level as LPC (Low Power Consumption) and it reduces noticeably the electric invoice at home. Now we are going to see the consumption graphic that came into effect on February 25th. (Table 1) Besides, the law incorporates new functions to be applied on digital receivers, always with the aim of reducing the consumption, as the “AUTO POWER OFF” which, after 3 hours in the same channel, and if no parameters
have been changed, the receiver must go immediately to standby position. Previously, the receiver must show an indication to the user according to the next example.

This function must be set as active by default in the receivers. This means that it could be temporally cancelled, but it must be always active by default. This law also fixes a schedule for reducing the consumptions in standby mode in another 50%. The new law will come into effects on February 25th 2012
allowed for receivers with extrafunctions as shown in the Table 2. All the products that were in the market before the date when this law came into effects can be legally sold, but the productions or imports of products that have no concordance with the specification after February 25th 2010 can not continue under any circumstances. Fte maximal has had an especial sensitivity for this law, which affects the use of our energy resources. For this reason, since the first day it came into effects, we started selling a wide range of “LPC compatible” receivers, avoiding keeping on stock the non compatible products. All the receivers/ adaptors for DVB-T (MAX T 21L, MAX T 90, MAX T 115 and MAX T 115+) obey the law. Concerning the satellite receivers, from the date it came into effects, the references U4127 and MAX S 500 HD are also under the law. Moreover the launching of reference MAX S 93 has been already announced for the next 17/05. This receiver will replace the popular MAX S 92+ and MAX S 92+ HDMI, which sales were stopped last March.
It is also set for the same date a reduction of the maximum consumtion

Open Day in Switzerland Last 12th and 15th March, Tom Elektronik, GmbH (the FTE Maximal distributor for Switzerland and Liechtenstein) opened its doors with a special event to its customers because of its 15th birthday. By that way, they could explain personally the new products available, specially oriented to the professional market. The event welcomed more than 120 people and product demonstrations were done: table demonstrations per family of products, quiz contests, gifts and catering. The feedback given is interesting for FTE Maximal in order to introduce improvements in the products.
Installers could check how functional and easy is installing and measuring satellite signals with mediaMAX MINI family
Some of the families that received more interest were: - MediaMAX MINI Field Meter family (S, S2, ST - and S2T models) - IP HeadEnd for satellite and terrestrial to IP (IPS - 310 / IPT 310 –CI-) - Multiswitches family of stand alone, unicable (Satcr) - and cascadeable devices. SEM, OLS, UCS and DK - MAX S600 HD CI, a functional high-end DVB-S2 - HD PVR with double Common Interface. Furthermore, the attendance appreciated so much the value given when they realized that a whole program of installation materials completed the range of products.
Terrestrial reception is also important for complementing installations
The event was open, so the visitors could test the equipment from their own hand. The comments were positive and we could realize that Fte maximal together with TOM Elektronik, is giving solutions (also training) to the customer needs, the most important! We expect it is becoming a periodical referent event with great number of people and renown!
