Gastronomy As a fishing village, the gastronomy of Conil de la Frontera is a permanent tribute to the products of the sea. Ancient recipes zealously preserved lead to a blast of flavours in such characteristic dishes as sea bream baked in the oven, marinated dogfish, tuna cooked with onions, and stuffed squids. Salted fish hold also a privileged position in the Conil cuisine, from tuna belly to cured roe. Other intense flavours come from its traditional broth, papas aliñás (seasoned potatoes), stuffed loin, black pudding and pork cracklings.
