CRACK UP’S An elderly man was on the operating table awaiting surgery to be performed by his son, a renowned surgeon. Just before they would put him under, he asked to speak to his son: “Don’t be nervous, son, do your best and just remember, if it doesn’t go well, if something happens to me… your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife.” ________________________ Q: What is the difference between Tiger Woods and Santa Claus? A: Santa stops after three hos. ________________________ Why is Christmas just like a day at the office? You do all the work and the fat guy with the suit gets all the credit. ________________________ Johnny wanted to get his mom something nice for Christmas but she’s hard to shop for. Passing a pet store he thought, “Hmm, a pet might be a good idea.” He walked in the pet store and asked the manager what might be a good idea. “How about a puppy?” “No,” said Johnny. “It may poop around the house.” “A fish?” “No, her house is small, so I don’t think an aquarium will fit.” Johnny then spied a parrot and asked, “How about that parrot?” “Oh,” said the manager, “That’s Chet. He’s very expensive.” “Well,” said Johnny, “It’s my mom let’s take a look.” The manager went to Chet, put a lighter under his left wing, and Chet started to sing “Jingle bells, jingle bells...” Then the manager put a lighter under Chet’s right wing and it started to sing, “Dashing through the snow...” “Wow!” said Johnny, “What else does he sing?” The manager held the lighter under Chet’s crotch at which point Chet sang, “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.” _________________________

While I was working as a store Santa, a boy asked me for an electric train set. “If you get your train,” I told him, “your dad is going to want to play with it too. Is that all right?” The boy became very quiet. So, moving the conversation along, I asked, “What else would you like Santa to bring you?” He promptly replied, “Another train.” _______________________ This past Christmas, I told my girlfriend that all I wanted was an Xbox. That’s it. Beginning and end of list: Xbox. You know what she got me? A homemade frame with a picture of us from our first date together. Which was fine. Because I got her an Xbox. ______________________ My mother cast one of her students as the innkeeper for the Christmas pageant. All the third grader had to do was tell Joseph, “There is no room at the inn.” But during the performance—after Joseph begged for a room for his pregnant wife—the boy didn’t have the heart to turn him down. “Well,” he said, “if it’s so urgent, come on in.” _____________________ Dear santa, for this year I’m requesting, a fat bank account, and a small body. P.S. This year, please don’t mix them up, like you did last year. _____________________ My wife said she didn’t mind what gift I got her as long as it had diamonds in it. I bought her a pack of cards.

Bikers Helping Bikers
It’s all in the name! Our organization has been around for 30 years since Tom Hartbauer thought that the time was right for someone to “Help Our Own”. Through the years we have grown from H.O.G. Chapters supporting and helping fund us, to our Incorporation in 1997 and becoming a 501 (C) (3) Not-ForProfit recognized by the Federal Gov’t. in 2003. We are proud that our Officers, Board and all our Representatives are bikers and UNPAID VOLUNTEERS who do this out of the love of motorcycles, those who ride and the lifestyle, no matter what you ride, what you wear or who you are. If you encounter a True Hardship and are a Biker living within 100 miles of the Gateway Arch, we want to assist you financially with a “Hand Up…Not a Hand Out”, when you need it most. Our application process is pretty straightforward, but some requirements are in place. We offer only financial assistance. To date we have disbursed over $300,000.00 to more than 600 bikers, and is some instances their family members. Hardships are not only due to motorcycle related injuries, but illnesses and loss due to floods, fires and other accidents. Our organization is officially named “The Hartbauer/McBride Memorial Foundation, Incorporated”. But through our “Biker Fund” we are: Bikers Helping Bikers You can view our history and almost anything you want to know about us on our Website shown below as well as our Facebook page. elcome back Full Throttle readers and riders! The holidays are upon us and it’s that time of year again to swap out hanging up our riding gear for hanging up Christmas lights! Seems like we may have a few more days here and there to sneak in a fall ride before that turkey hits the table and the tree goes up! With the bitter cold settling in Harley was nice enough to introduce a hot new model to the new Softail line up to keep us warm throughout the winter months! As we have seen in the past few months the folks up in Milwaukee have really shaken up the industry with the introduction of the new 2018 Softail platform. The Bar and Shield delivered a stronger, faster, lighter machine that gets so many more smiles per gallon than anything we have seen in the past! When we were putting the idea together for my “Hardly Dangerous” build we envisioned a bike that would be both fast and fun in a straight line as well as in the corners but I also wanted the ability to pack more than my wallet and sunglasses so we upgraded a Road Kings motor, suspension, and changed the bars for a more aggressive yet comfortable stance. Had I had a magic crystal ball or had Miss Cleo still been around I would have waited and just invested in the newest Softail! Introducing the new sexy, sleek, stylish, fast, fun and fully functional Sport Glide!! A new take on the Softail frame, with sport inspiration and touring capabilities. At first one would assume that this replaced the Dyna Switch Back model that wasn’t very well received and was eventually discontinued at the end of 2016. The irony of this is that the Switch Back is now becoming popular with the west coast “Dyna bros” and in recent months people have been styling them to look like 1950 FL’s that look pretty damn cool! The bottom Page 28

A New Look
Article By Marshall Tucker
line is the only thing that the Sport Glide and Switch Back have in common is simply the fact they both have saddlebags. The one feature that just seems to grab the eyeballs on this bike is the small fairing. It’s almost as if Disney released another motorcycle movie, “Honey I shrunk the Batwing Fairing”! It’s not hard to see the resemblance of the Street Glides fairing in the smaller Sport Glides stunning looks. This fairing comes off quickly and easily to reveal the amazing HarleyDavidson inverted front end and LED headlamp. Not only does this front end look great it rides even better! Combine that with the tunable rear mono shock set up you can find the sweet spot in any situation! Harley as of late has really been paying homage to the bikes of years past and has incorporated some lockable, removable “clam shell” styled saddlebags. The bags open to the side rather than from the top much like the old FXRT (FXR Sport Glide) bags of the past. Hell not only does it share the same style bags it shares the same name and a lot of the heritage. This is a sexy simple bike that can rip the back roads as well as make the long haul to any desired destination. And on the way there everyone with notice the new Mantis wheels this platform rides on, the front sports an 18”/130 tire and the back rolls a beefy 16”/180. This sled truly is a jack of all trades kinda bike. Whether you tear it down and are cruising down the local strip or loaded up and rolling down the mother road this bike can do just about anything you ask it to and look damn good doing so as well! Stop on by St Charles HarleyDavidson and check out the all new Softail Sport Glide and have a seat for yourself! Thanks for stopping by and y’all enjoy the ride.

elcome to the all new featured section in Full Throttle Magazine Midwest. “Gaslight Garage.” This new section of the magazine is going to be all about cars; anything and everything about those 4-wheeled means of transportation. We will have articles, advertiser and special features. We feel that Motorcycles and Cars go hand in hand. Each one can be tricked out and customize. Each one can offer unbelievable power at the “Throttle”. But, before we drive full speed ahead, we wanted to give you a reintroduction to our beloved friend and expert who has decided to rejoin our team as one of our lead writers for the our New “Gaslight Garage” Section. Please welcome back Roger Ferris. C.Blanton Some of you will remember me from Muscle Car Mania. My name is Roger Ferris, Owner/Operator of Showcar Specialist. Back when Bob and Cindy resurrected Full Throttle Magazine, and knowing my years of experience and expertise, they asked me to join their staff in the creation of Muscle Car Mania. I love what I do and have a blast doing what I do best; which is Eat, Breathe and Sleep anything automobile related. So, why not add writing and showing off my work to my repertoire? Throughout my tenor with Full Throttle, we featured some really awesome builds. We would take some of the build photos and add a story about the car and the owner. Then you got to look forward to the following month when we did a photo shoot of the finished project. It was always fun but it is time to shake things up a bit with a new idea. For those of you who do not know me, I’ve been in the car business for a long time; almost too many years to admit so I’ll just say the year was 1974. Fast forwarding to 2017, I have built a wide variety of high end cars and some cars that had to adhere to a tight Budget. I have taken cars that would arrive at my shop that were literally a rusty metal shell and transformed them into an extreme work of art. If the clients wanted speed, I would give them speed. If they wanted speed and pristine, I would give them both. From Gasser’s to roaring 20’s luxury. Every nut and bolt was spit shined and polished to perfection. From powder coat to paint to a high gloss finish would make the sun dance across the metal. No matter the year, make, model or price tag, the owner was always happy at the end.

There are a lot of you that might know me by my popular GASSER that runs around town. You know, the one that has the Shark Teeth on the side and the Topless Pin-Up girl straddling a bomb on the hood. (Some times she even wears Pasties when kids are around.) And a Camaro that I built that has won more than its share of awards that is pretty well known for its overall looks and the outstanding attention to details. No matter what part of the car you look at you will find more details and a quality build. Some of you might know Chip Foose. We were lucky enough to be a part of his show at YEAR-ONE in Georgia and was the Runner Up in an exclusive select group of cars. We were also invited to a very elite type of show in Chicago, Illinois called Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals. At that show it was like going back in time, it was nothing to find MILLION Dollar cars all around you. I have to say it was the Best show I have ever attended. I’ve been to a lot of shows, some of which YOU may even know, such as SEMA, PRI, ISCA, Hot Rod and Super Chevy. I almost always felt like we didn’t deserve to be there but we would invariably have people stopping by to talk and cultivate serious buyers for the cars. At trophy time we were also surprised that we placed in categories that are hard to win, but we did. We’ve won the PLATINUM PICK JUDGES CHOICE; only two per manufacture were given out; Factory and Modified. We took Modified. We also CERTIFIED GOLD; 998 out of a possible 1000 points. At the Super Chevy Show we have many awards including OUTSTANDING ENGINEERED. In the ISCA World of Wheels Shows we were honored to win many 1st Place, Outstanding Display, Outstanding Undercarriage and Outstanding Custom. This is just a sampling of what came about with one Camaro. I have had the privilege of creating so many more amazing cars that have taken notice. So you see, I’ve been around “A Block” a time or two (pun was intended). And I know what it takes to create a awesome automobile. I hope you enjoy some of my work pictured here and with this new feature I look forward to meeting a lot of new people, sharing stories and seeing what you have in your shop or garage. www.FullThrottle-Magazine.com
