ear friends, Welcome to the first issue of “MIROPE Newsletter�, the electronic Newsletter about the updates of MIROPE project. This newsletter aims to disseminate activities and stimulate new ideas in the professional community, on the role of the art within education, focus on EUROPEAN IDENTITY, tolerance, mutual understanding and solidarity throughout creativity and European history. In this issue you will find new ideas and activities, news related to art-therapy and vocational education, project updates and even more! MIROPE project arises as an attempt to empower people at risk of social exclusion in their everyday realities by reflecting upon significant concepts in the history of Europe and raising their awareness about current European values such as democracy, active participation, European identity and European citizenship. The main goal of MIROPE is to foster dialogue, reflection and critical aptitude through art, introducing the 20th Century European History as a starting point and inspiration for creating artistic products. It poster represents an army composed by one photo from each participant of the workshop dressed up as a solder, they chose the motto “War against everybody, everybody against war” and used Photoshop to design it.
