Rules: Participants are divided into 4 groups. Each team has a leader who receive 5 envelopes with the tasks, a map of Wroclaw and also has a camera with. The groups should perform the tasks from the envelope and find places associated with them and take photos. This photos will be used to a small exhibition: photos and performance of tasks will be assessed on a scale of 1-10 by other groups during the evening setting. There is possibility to get some extra points (see List of bonus tasks), for groups which do their every tasks in shorter time. You can do this extra tasks between the crossing of the tasks from envelopes or after. Bonus tasks should be also documented by photos and they will be also assessed. The group which obtain the biggest joint number of point will get the prize ;) Remember, each member of the group should do something, everyone should have equal opportunities. And one more important thing: task have to be done in fair way and be careful, would not offend, ridicule or hurt anyone. After splitting into groups, each leader opens zero envelope and the groups make puzzles which are inside. When they finish, can go to find the place which are shown by the photo. Group 1, theme: Dwarfs Envelope 0. It includes puzzles with pictures of the dwarfs Bankomatki. Lay out the puzzle and start the game. Using the map find KuĹşnicza street, and then find a place from the picture.

Envelope 1 Bankomatki dwarfs Long, long time ago, in the early eighties of last century, in the capital of Lower Silesia was created the social movement named Orange Alternative. Waldemar ‘Major’ Fydrych, together with their companions, put into practice the socialist surrealism. Preached among others that every policeman on the street is a work of art, and all the proletarians are beautiful. They took into hearts the words of Konopnicka: "because if you want or not want, the dwarfs are in the world." Is this robbery to high day? No, it’s just Bankomatki in action, or technic service by dwarfs bank on Kuźnicza Street. Probably ran out of money or the machine "ate the card." Bankomatki, admittedly, are not tired at work, because in Wroclaw for now there are only two banks for dwarfs. Most of them still prefer the traditional forms of transactions. Welcome to the dwarfs land! Your first task is to try a career as a dwarfs. Show by the photo how you handle this dwarfs machine, maybe you know any songs about dwarfs – act and make the first picture. Good luck. After completing this task, open the next envelope. Envelope 2 Go to Kościuszko street and find another dwarf called 'Gazeciarz".
This dwarf is the most kept informed about local and global topics. He begins each day selling newspapers at Kosciuszko square, calling a loud voice to purchase. He likes his job, sometimes he just worried there are so much bad news in the press for ‘big’. So he prefer the dwarf newspapers, particularly column "This is", where you can read about different dwarf jokes and planned activities for little brothers. Did you find this dwarf? That's great ;) Now your task is to find three people and give them three good news. Make photos and open the next envelope;)
Envelope 3 Go to Oławska street and search for other dwarfs – look around you and find along the way Grajek and Meloman figures.
Faithful pair of friends, before years jointed by love for music. Despite the lack of skills, they cultivate their alleged musical talents many years, admiring passers-by the most popular dwarfs compositions. Create your own team of musicians and give 3-minutes concert for passers-by, make a photo. After completing the task open the next envelope. Today, the well-earned retirement, leads the dwarf of Wrocław. Chairman of the Council of Wroclaw Dwarfs. His ironic smile and playful facial expression perfectly reflect the character of the dwarf. Group 2, theme: Ostrów Tumski Envelope 0. It includes puzzles with pictures of the Tumski Bridge. Lay out the puzzle and start the game. Using the map find the Tumski Bridge from the picture.
(After finishing the puzzle the group directs to the Tumski Bridge and opens the envelope number 1) You are in the oldest part of the city known as Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island). Over 306 years Tumski gave shelter to criminals – on this territory municipal court could not prosecute the offenders. Everyone who broke the secular law, could find asylum on the island. Therefore, this fact was often used. Envelope 1 Island Bridge, also called the Bridge of Lovers, recently became famous for padlocks hung there by couples. At night its metal, painted in blue design looks fabulous in the spotlight. It leads us directly to the Cathedral Island.
Your first task is: to ask your Polish colleagues for their names and find as many padlocks with similar names. Make photos of this search and open the envelope 2 Envelope 2 Go to the oldest cathedral on the island. Helmets of cathedral towers were repeatedly renewed after the damage done by storms (1450), fire (1759), and bombing (1945). In 1996 the relics of buildings from a time before the construction of the present cathedral were discovered. Your task is to find a picture of the cathedral before the reconstruction of the towers so you need to look for it during your walk to the church;) Make a picture and open the next envelope. Envelope 3 Go round the cathedral, by the faculty of theology, and find the oldest tree on the island before the archbishop's palace. Then take the position around it and make a photo; you can invite passers-by to the group;) Envelope 4 [in the envelope have to be penne noodles and string for making necklace] In Wroclaw we can find many interesting places, among which are old town gates. One of them is legendary Kluskowa Gate, which can be seen during the stroll Tumski Ostrow at St. Giles. And where does the name of this gate? According to legend, long ago there lived a little town near the peasant who lost his beloved wife. The loss was very painful for him, especially as the spouse of a great cook and did the best local dumplings. The hero of the story could not get over this loss, although it has therefore decided to choose a partial relief of pain in the Wroclaw market. However, tired of traveling perched on one of the gates and fell asleep, and in a dream appeared to him my love. It was not completely happy, because the grief of her husband prevented her be happy in the afterlife. (After finishing the puzzle the group directs to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene and opens the envelope number 1) Envelope 1 Witches Bridge;) Look up;) You have certainly noticed the bridge connecting the two towers. This bridge, called the Witches Bridge (according to the legend, souls of the dead travellers or disobedient girls running very entertaining way of life appeared here) is at a height of 45 meters. Wroclaw eyes saw it in the fifteenth century. From the bridge you can admire the panorama of the
city, and also an orchestra often played here. The bridge, with towers, underwent destruction over the centuries, but every time was rebuilt. Your task is to create a circle: dance and laugh like witches at the Sabbath;) Make the photo and open the next envelope;) Envelope 2 Jatki Wroclaw, occupying the area between the streets Odrzaoska and Kiełbaśnicza, mainly associated with numerous small art galleries as the Klub na Jatkach. However, the name of this place is quite far from art and entertainment, while closely associated with ... meat. In fact originally it was the place of slaughter of the animals and sale of their meat, while the word "jatka" most likely was related to the verb " jechad" (go), suggesting that the first market stalls were mobile. The history of this place dates back to the XIII century, perhaps that the reign of Prince Boleslav Rogatka. The nature of Jatki has changed already in the XIX century, when the meat has been replaced by pottery and other trade. In the 90s the monument to slaughter animals was placed here. After entering into Jatki we can see sculptures of duck, goat, pig and a cock. In this way the artists wanted to honor the slaughtered animals.
Do you remember the fairy tale about four musicians of Bremen? A donkey, a dog, a cat, and a cock, all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. On the way to Bremen, they see a lighted cottage; they look inside and see four robbers enjoying their illgotten gains. Standing on each other's backs, they decide to perform for the men in hope of gaining food. Their 'music' has an unanticipated effect; the men run for their lives, not knowing what the strange sound is. The animals take possession of the house, eat a good meal, and settle in for the evening.

Envelope 3 In the middle of the plac Uniwersytecki (University Square), in the round shallow pool, there is a marble pedestal decorated with sculptures of two seated, naked women. Fountain bowl is decorated with four masks, in which the lips are a stroke of the water. Students used to say that these masks represent faces of the Wroclaw University professors, and water leaking from them symbolize the "flow of words," coming out during the less interesting lectures. On the top of the fountain is standing the bronze, turned green because of the patina, figure of a young naked man. He is standing in a harmonious and peaceful pose, holds in his hand the sword with a curved blade.

Envelope 4 [In this envelope it has to be some little gingerbreads] Few people know that under the names Jaś i Małgosia (Hansel and Gretel) are hidden not two, but four houses. The charming houses surrounded by monumental buildings resemble a pair of children. Slightly taller and older Małgosia carefully kept little Jaś "by hand", and safely guides him through the turbulent history. She has been a guide around for six centuries. Group 4, theme: Miscellanea Envelope 0. It includes puzzles with pictures of the Synagogue, Pawła Włodkowica Street. Lay out the puzzle and start the game. Using the map find Pawła Włodkowica Street, and then find a place from the picture.
(After finishing the puzzle the group directs to Pawła Włodkowica Street and opens the envelope number 1) Envelope 1 District of Mutual Respect If someone told you that there is a place in Poland, which is not on any map, where they live next to each other, pray and work together Catholics and Protestants, Jews and Orthodox Christians - will you believe? Well, such a place exists. It is located in Wroclaw's Old Town, between the streets of Kazimierza Wielkiego, św. Antoniego, Pawła Włodkowica i św. Mikołaja. The phenomenon of the place is that at a distance of three–four hundred meters of each other's Lutheran Church, the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and the Synagogue. Indeed, the location so close together as many as four churches (Jewish and three Christian denominations) is a rare phenomenon, something unusual. You will not find something like that anywhere else in Poland. The task is: Find seven typical stuff of Jewish culture. Take photos and open next envelope.

Find the houses and build a house on chicken foot. And open next envelope. Envelope 3 Monument of Nicolaus Copernicus in Wroclaw commemorate the outstanding astronomer. The author of the monument was Leon Podsiadły, and his work is classified as the most important examples of modern sculpture. In Poland we say that Copernicus “moved the sun and stopped the earth”. He proved that the earth orbits the sun and not vice versa. Your task is to show the theory of Copernicus under his monument. Take a photo of your work. And open next envelope. envelope 4 Most powerful Grunwaldzki Bridge (formerly Imperial) is one of the attractions of Wrocław. It connects the city center with district of schools and parks. The bridge was built in 19081910. At the end of World War II, the commandant of the city (or some say Hitler himself) decided to build a runway for planes, which was to just pull from the Grunwaldzki Bridge to Szczytnicki Bridge. Make the figure of airplane starting from the runway (you can change each other). Take the photo and open last envelope.
