Dear Christopher, We are so proud of you and we love you very much. Enjoy reading your special book! Love, Mom & Dad
Christopher loves fables & fairy tales, the simple stories of old. But this one is different for soon you will see, and how uniquely our story is told.
You know the story & how it unfolds, but this one it has a twist. We won’t give it away, lets just say, that Christopher will be joining amidst.
Once upon a time is how it always begins, the three little pigs and their friend. Looking to build some houses as homes, and Christopher with a hand he can lend.
They travel on their merry way, walking one by one in line. Soon after picking the perfect spot, they find some straw and some twine.
This 1st house is for Iggy who always wears a green vest. With Christopher and the others helping, he feels happy and truly blessed.
They worked very hard and it turned out lovely, everyone really chipped in. Iggy added a special touch, which made Christopher and the piggies all grin!
But shortly after they sit inside, Christopher exclaims, “Egad!” For through the back window they can clearly see, a brown fury wolf. Yes, big and bad!
As you would expect the wolf loudly roars, “Little pigs little pigs, let me come in, and Christopher you too.” The pigs yell back, “Not by the hairs of my chinny chin chin!” Christopher says, “Not ever for you.” “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in.” So he huffed and he puffed, and that’s exactly what he did!
Luckily they all escaped, with not even a scratch. They ran so fast and far away, not even a wolf could catch.
So once again ready to build, they had their tools and a few odd ends. But what really mattered to the three little pigs, was their very dear helpful friend.
This second house is for Twiggy, who has pigtails, and is a little shy. It will be much stronger, and tidier than the straw house or a messy pigsty.
This time they found some sticks from branches on the trees. Christopher uses his nails and hammer, the job he’ll do, it’ll surely please.
And again their hard work paid off, very handy had they all become. With the 3 little pigs and Christopher, this house was second to none.
For it had a different woodsy look, which seemed to make the birds sing. They chirped and whistled all day long. They even added a swing.
But even before they could breathe a sigh, they could see the wolf in the distance. Quickly they hurried and scuttled inside; surely he was out for vengeance.
And so again the wolf loudly roars, “Little pigs little pigs, let me come in, and Christopher you too!” The pigs yell back, “Not by the hairs of my chinny chin chin!” Christopher says, “Not ever for you.” “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in.” So he huffed and he puffed and again that’s what he did.
Quickly they ran as fast as they could, grabbing all they could take. Not even for a moment did they think, ever the wood house would break.
Farther and farther, very far they fled, as fast as their little legs could run. Christopher leads the way to a better place, and happiness for everyone.
This 3rd house is for Quigley, who wears a very nice jacket. Building and moving and shuffling around, has caused such a very big racket.
As busy as bees they kept on moving, so as long as their hearts would beat. They vowed this house would be stronger, built with everything from bricks to concrete.
Oh yes this house was built very strong indeed, and for sure a wolf will never blow it down. Christopher and the pigs learned a great deal along the way, always with a smile and never a frown.
It was a wonderful house with a sturdy stone path, leading to the green door and it’s knocker. What a lovely scene with flowerbeds and a wishing well. Now get ready here is the shocker!
Up came the wolf from the horizon. Instead of huffing and puffing, and yes without a roar, he slowly walked down the stone path and simply knocked on the door.
Christopher swung the door open and said, “This is enough, enough of these huffs and these puffs. This bullying must end!” “I’m so sorry,” cried the wolf, “but I ran all this way, just so you’ll see, I don’t want to be mean, I just want a friend.”
“Well if a friend is all you want, then I have three more. Let me introduce you, Twiggy, Quigley, & Iggy Piggy. So they invited him in and they closed the door.
They talked and they laughed and they joked, and they all had a really good time. Christopher and the 3 little pigs made a new friend, funny to see in this rhyme.
So one little piggy, two little piggies, three little piggies, never again cried wee wee wee all the way home. And that was the last time he blew a house in, a lesson the wolf, he did learn.
For it is better to speak, than to huff and to puff, and you just might make a friend. The wolf never blew another house down; no he never did it, not ever again.
So this is the end, our story is done, of Christopher, the wolf and the 3 little pigs. Hope you all had some fun.
