Welcome to BIg day out 2014 Since Big Day Out first exploded onto the Australia Day holiday in Sydney in 1992, 8 of Pearl Jam’s 9 albums have debuted at No.1 on the Australian charts, so we are very excited to finally deliver one of the greatest rock acts of all time to Big Day Out audiences in their Australian festival debut, Pearl Jam. Patience is a virtue but thank $#@! the wait is finally over. The biggest thing about Big Day Out has always been the scale and diversity of our lineup each year. In 1992 when BDO was born, Flume, Kerser, Northlane, Pez, Kingswood, RÜfÜs and Mac Miller were all either 4

not born, on the boob or still getting their bum wiped by Mum. Look how far we have come in 22 years!! Today as you roll through 12 hrs of musical magic from around the world there is a toddler banging on a saucepan and dreaming of Big Day Out 2044. Have a great and safe day! Adam Zammit CEO Big Day Out

Health and safety Welcome to your travelling smorgasbord of musical adventure for 2014. It’s a busy schedule so choose wisely, plan your day, play safe, have fun and get home safely. Please take a moment to read the following extremely useful information and remember we are here to help when needed. SORTING OUT YOUR DAY Now that you are at the site it is important to plan your day. Obviously the priority is making sure you get to see the acts that mean the most to you but don’t forget the basics. If you are with friends and intend to travel home together arrange a place and time to meet up at the end of the night. Large crowds, a long day and hot weather in combination will tire you out. Make sure you pace yourself, drink plenty of water, eat food that will give you some energy and minimise sun exposure. Use of mind-altering substances of any kind, including alcohol, can result in the day changing from fantastic to a nightmare in a very short amount of time. Don’t forget you need to get home after the show and an ambulance isn’t the best or cheapest way to do so. Don’t be afraid to tell us if something is going wrong; we only want to help you, not judge you.

SECURITY Whether it’s entering, leaving or inside the festival, you will be required to abide by any reasonable request or command from the Big Day out security. Remember that they are primarily there to keep the entire festival safe. If you need help or see someone needing help please notify security straight away. In some cases we may need to clear a path or area and security may need to react quickly. Please follow their directions if required as someone’s safety may depend on it, maybe your own.

CROWD CONTROL For the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth shows only a second controlled barrier system known as a “D” barricade may be erected in front of the main arena stages. The purpose of this structure will be to provide a greater control of and access to the traditional mosh zones. This will be an alcohol-free zone, plus security will have discretionary powers to restrict crowd numbers along with people who are too small or young, intoxicated, aggressive or possible drug affected, incapacitated, in a wheelchair or on crutches, who have been identified as crowd surfers or are in possession of items considered unsuitable to be in the area such as boogie boards or large bags or backpacks. Crowd surfing, moshing and circle dancing are dangerous activities and will not be tolerated. Offenders will either be banned from the “D” area or removed from site. Water may also be sprayed on the audience in this area, so mobile phones and cameras are at risk. Please help us by respecting the security, Crowd Carers and each other. No-one wants their day ruined especially from someone else’s careless behaviour. Please consider others, as well as your own safety, especially in front of stages. For the Adelaide show there is a ‘passive’ D barrier system. There is no control systems as in the other cities, however the rules and advices given for all activities in front of the stage still apply to this show but obviously with no restricted area, your movement is not controlled. If someone falls down or is in distress please help them if you can or let the security or Crowd Care team know so we can help. It’s meant to be a fun day; let’s make sure it is.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION Under extreme and unlikely circumstances a building, area or the entire site may be required to be evacuated or cleared. It will be imperative for you to follow all the instructions and directions from emergency services, police, fire brigade and/or our security in such a situation.

CROWD CARE TEAMS To allow the First Aid and security teams to focus more efficiently on the real safety issues we have introduced the Crowd Care team of volunteers. They will be wearing bright orange jackets and hats and will assist with water distribution and help monitor the audience, especially away from the stages. If you have a basic question or urgent problem they should be able to help you or find suitable assistance.

6

IMPORTANT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENTS Between acts on the main stages there will be a recorded message covering crowd safety issues. In the event of a specific issue, live requests will be made. Please take note of and respect these announcements.

FIRST AID There are several first aid stations around the site to treat people who are genuinely ill or have injured themselves on the day. Try to minimise your demands on them if it does not relate to real issues as they have a very long and demanding day. Some of these people are volunteers and we owe them a great deal of gratitude for all their skills and support. WASTE & ENVIRONMENT Where recycling stations are available pleas make an effort to use them. LOST PROPERTY & UNCOLLECTED COAT CHECK ITEMS We always end up with uncollected items, lost keys and lots of single shoes (yes, really). Contact us at “support.bdopresents.com” and we will respond as soon as possible. Lost property that is handed in on the day will be taken to coat check. GETTING HOME Do not drink and drive!!! We strongly recommend you travel home by public transport. There are large numbers of extra buses and/or train services after every show to ensure there’s room for everyone to get home safely. Please be patient and sensible and stay on the platforms and designed waiting areas. NB. Any person entering prohibited areas of railway property may be arrested and prosecuted. And that would be a bad end to your Big Day Out.

PEARL JAM Since their inception in 1991, Pearl Jam have sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. The band have released nine studio albums, five live albums, hundreds of live concert bootlegs, one doubledisc B-side record, one double-disc greatest hits record and five live DVDs. Pearl Jam released their much-anticipated tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt, on October 11, 2013 in Australia. Lightning Bolt marks Pearl Jam’s first studio album since the highly acclaimed Backspacer, which was released nearly four years ago in September 2009.

ARCADE FIRE With their cathedrals of sound, this Montreal collective have built a fiercely loyal fan base, a following that counts rock heroes like David Byrne and David Bowie as members. The band’s sound — a mix of slashed strings, blaring brass, pounded percussion, and Win Butler’s spooked croon — was smart and dramatic enough to earn Springsteen comparisons from the beginning. The group’s three world-class albums from the noughties decade – 2004’s Funeral, 2007’s Neon Bible and 2010’s Suburbs, the latter of which won them Best New Album at the 2011 Grammy Awards, and 2013’s Reflektor, prove that sometimes bigger is better.

Snoop Dogg AKA SNOOP LION Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion is multi-platinum artist and entertainment icon. With over 20 years in the industry, Snoop’s ability to stay at the forefront of popular culture and new technology through hit records, brand partnerships, innovative digital strategies, philanthropy and more have resulted in unwavering relevance. Most recently, Snoop has been making headlines with his Reincarnated project and announcement of his new moniker, Snoop Lion, which has been the most controversial journey of a modern day icon. Reincarnated is a multifaceted project, which includes a reggae-influenced album executive produced by Diplo of Major Lazer. 8

BEADY EYE

FLUME

Major Lazer was cryogenically frozen with help from a mysterious shadow government as a safeguard for the future’s wellbeing. Despite many years of peace, a new threat began to loom and Major Lazer was brought out of sleep to Free The Universe. In his time, Diplo has performed at all the major festivals and has been personally sought after by Beyoncé, collaborated with the likes of Thom Yorke, Bruno Mars and Vampire Weekend.

Since their inception, Grammywinning alternative band Deftones have quietly been pursuing two paths, delivering songs defined by churning, double-fisted aggression while also quietly testing the boundaries of music by incorporating elements of psychedelia and shoegaze. Picking up where 2010’s lauded Diamond Eyes left off, the group’s seventh album, Koi No Yokan, is their boldest yet. 10

The Hives are a Swedish rock band that first garnered attention in the early 2000s as a prominent group of the garage rock revival. Their mainstream success came with the release of the album Veni Vidi Vicious, featuring their most well-known song Hate to Say I Told You So. In 2013, the band unleashed their Black & White Attack at European festivals, dressing up Lollapalooza South America in tuxedo tails, and mesmerising audience members across the United States.

Back in June, Beady Eye – Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock (with Jay Mehler on bass for their live shows) – released BE. While winning the band critical praise, BE also scored them their highest UK album chart position to date when it charted at number 2. With a renewed energy and intensity to their live shows, Beady Eye are a band not to be missed live in 2014.

The word ‘icon’ is liberally tossed around the modern music industry. But casually dressed and exceedingly loyal to his vocation, familial house veteran Steve Angello has encapsulated those values with more persuasive vigour than the vast majority of his long serving peers. Passion may have seen him pioneer the Stockholm underground, but innovation has seen him join the ranks of luminary mafia man.

Flume, a 22-year-old beatmaker from Sydney, well and truly established himself as one the breakout stars of 2013. Drawing from a wide variety of sources, Flume distills his sound into a melodic, bass-heavy style that is uniquely his own. International praise from the likes of The Guardian, BBC1, Fader, CMJ, Pitchfork, XLR8R and no less than The New York Times have all marked Flume as one to watch.

PRIMUS

Yessiree, Primus are responsible for some of the most cutting edge and original rock music of the ’90s. And now, the definitive Primus lineup – singer/bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, and drummer Tim Alexander – are back together and planning on getting the worldwide masses bobbing up and down in unison once more. Be forewarned…here they come!

THE LUMINEERS

The Lumineers are a two-time Grammy-nominated folk rock band based in Denver, Colorado. Founders Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites began writing and performing together in New Jersey in 2005, before Neyla Pekarek, Stelth Ulvang and Ben Wahamaki joined the band by 2012. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2012, and has been certified Gold in the UK and Platinum in the US and Australia.

TAME IMPALA

Tame Impala are the movement in Orion’s Nebula and the slime from a snail journeying across a footpath. To humans, Tame Impala are more of a ‘music ensemble’, but their various other forms should not be disregarded. Tame Impala make psychedelic hypno-groove melodic rock music. Lonerism, the band’s second album, won the ARIA Award for Album of the Year.

VISTA CHINO

Vista Chino (formerly known as Kyuss Lives!) are an American stoner rock band led by vocalist John Garcia and Brant Bjork on the kit, with Bruno Fevery on guitar. A legendary band that have made the new name their own, they are bringing the Californian desert fury to Big Day Out 2014 and are definitely not one to be missed

BLISS N ESO

In the wake of debuting at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart with their fifth studio effort Circus In The Sky, Bliss N Eso found themselves with the highest selling Australian album of 2013 after only ten days of release. Between the multiple No.1 charting albums and chart records, an unprecedented live presence and the most loyal music fanbase in the country, the Sydney trio continue to push themselves forward.

360

360 is among a small handful of true-to-life, underground-reared emcees that can transcend the hip-hop genre and walk tall in a pop-dominated landscape. It’s the hidden gems on 2011’s Falling & Flying that really hit home for his fans. Indie darling Gossling was present for two irresistible collaborations, while hip-hop’s “it” producer M-Phazes drops a certified bomb on ‘Hope You Don’t Mind’.

CSS

Formed in 2003 in Sao Paulo by a group of friends with a thirst for good times and indulgence in all things pop and art, CSS rose to notoriety with the help of a thriving creative community, underground club scene and a little thing called the internet. Their danceable electro/rock songs translated with ease from the virtual online to live audiences, making CSS one of the most in-demand live shows from Europe to Japan. 14

15

THE DRONES

The release of The Drones’ new album I See Seaweed has been a big one for the band. The album debuted at #18 on the ARIA album charts, their highest chart position to date, thanks to the support of community radio stations across the country and triple j, with feature albums from RRR Melbourne, RTR Perth, FBi Sydney, 4ZZZ Brisbane, PBS Melbourne and triple j nationally.

MAC MILLER

Mac Miller has arrived as the latest superstar straight outta Pittsburgh. Influenced by the styles of artists such as Big L, Lauryn Hill, Outkast, and A Tribe Called Quest, Mac Miller soon developed a reputation for delivering jaw-dropping freestyles in Pittsburgh. Look for Mac Miller to continue his rise to dominance in the international music world in 2014 and beyond.

FLOSSTRADAMUS

Flosstradamus spent the last eight years breaking new sounds around the globe and becoming club kings in the process. But how do they keep doing it? The duo’s knack for flipping your favourite tracks in unexpected new ways certainly helps. Yet the real reason is because they bring an irresistible sense of fun to every single set, whether it’s a sweat-soaked nightclub or in front of thousands at Lollapalooza.

GHOST

As the tides change and the flames mount, Papa Emeritus II and the Group of Nameless Ghouls reflect upon man’s fall and the Antichrist’s rise. Their rituals demand reverence and praise, fortified through a delivery of sweetly satanic melodies, snaking distorted riffs, and vaudevillian keyboards. Allow Papa Emeritus II and the Group of Nameless Ghouls to open your mind or simply play witness.

GROUPLOVE

When the members of Grouplove met, it was like a dream. The setting: the exotic Greek island of Crete. Drummer/producer Ryan Rabin and guitarist Andrew Wessen came from California, guitarist Christian Zucconi and keyboarist Hannah Hooper travelled from New York and bassist Sean Gadd was the lone Brit. Over time they discovered the sound that unified them: a merging of intricate songs with anthemic pop production.

THE NAKED AND FAMOUS

The Naked And Famous return with hugely anticipated album In Rolling Waves and a sound connecting audiences to the inspiration of the golden era of emotionally charged alternative rock. After three years of touring, playing to more than 600,000 people internationally, In Rolling Waves delivers darkly nuanced, intricately rocking electro gems with a firm grasp on the euphoric sound their audience love so dearly.

DILLON FRANCIS

Dillon Francis is a Los Angeles-based electronic music producer and DJ and a pioneer in the moombahton genre. He is a Mad Decent Block Party staple and has collaborated and remixed artists including Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris. His latest single Without You featuring Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs was one of the most played tracks on triple j this Summer. Go one deeper! 16

TORO Y MOI

Toro y Moi is Columbia, South Carolina native and resident Chaz Bundick. Heavily influenced by his parents’ vinyl and tape collection, he possesses great admiration for contemporary influences like Animal Collective, Sonic Youth, J Dilla, and Daft Punk. The songs are born from a plethora of different genres, from freak-folk to R&B to French house—which is heavily influential on Chaz’s newest dance alias, Les Sins.

BLUEJUICE

Consisting of Jake Stone, Stavros Yiannoukas, Jamie Cibej and James Hauptmann, Bluejuice are a mix of pop, rock, hip hop, electro and disco. Bluejuice are truly in their element when they’re making you dance in a free, unselfconscious way. The combination of drums, bass and keys and two singers sounds unique, but it’s the energy and humour with which the band approach their music that makes them stand out.

PORTUGAL. THE MAN

Portland, Oregon-based Portugal. The Man released their seventh full-length Evil Friends, produced by Danger Mouse, on June 4 last year. The title track, Evil Friends, emerges from darkness into a pipe-whistling punky thump, with John Gourley’s trademark falsetto and thundering guitar. Songs such as Creep In A T-Shirt and Purple Yellow Red & Blue showcase the band’s original yet indie-pop sensibility.

MUDHONEY

Every now and then, a pairing will go beyond “good” and result in something that forever alters the universe. Imagine a world without chocolate and peanut butter, Doc Martens and a leather jacket, and of course, Mudhoney and Sub Pop. 2013 marked the 25th anniversary of both Mudhoney and Sub Pop Records and sarcastic grins remain implanted on their faces, even as empty bottles and sneakers fly inches from their heads.

PEZ

It’s been a long time since his successful debut A Mind of My Own, but Pez is back with his new album Don’t Look Down. With the new single One Life, fans will see Pez moving back to his musical roots. “I want to evolve my sound. I think people who connected with my first album will connect with this even more so – I never wanted to feel like I was on autopilot, doing the same thing. I wanted to push myself.”

KERSER

After a battle with 360 went viral on YouTube, with overall views now exceeding 20 million, Kerser holds the highest hit rate over any other Oz hip hop artist. In the past year, he shocked critics by securing No.1 on the ARIA Charts with his tour DVD and No.5 on the ARIA Charts with his third release S.C.O.T, which also charted No.2 on the overall iTunes charts. Kerser is ready to step on the stage at Big Day Out 2014.

THE 1975

Ten years since they first met in a classroom in Wilmslow, The 1975 have unveiled their eponymous debut self-titled album. Though they formed as a punk band whilst still at school, there’s no straightjacket to their current sound, which veers between brooding art rock, crisp electronica, dancefloor R&B, helium hip hop, shimmering balladry and ’80s gloss pop – pop music, but not as you know it. 18

19

NORTHLANE

Upon the release of Northlane’s hit album Singularity in March 2013, they immediately became one of the premier heavy acts in Australia. Debuting at No.3 on the ARIA Charts, the record received universal acclaim and launched the Sydney five-piece across the globe. After touring all over the world in 2013, they return to Australian shores for Big Day Out before heading out on another world tour.

BIG GIGANTIC

Colorado-based duo saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken create a blend of mind-bending beats, thunderous bass, and frenetic melodies. They have developed a rabid following and are now key players in the world of electronic, dance, and hip hop. A smash on the festival circuit, their transcendent live shows are a showcase of brilliant improvisation and a tightly-knit bond between Salken and Lalli.

COSMIC PSYCHOS

For 30 years, the Cosmic Psychos have blazed a trail of empty beer cans and busted eardrums around the globe with their quintessentially Australian punk rock. Their early adventures took them along the rock’n’roll highway, from rural Victoria, into some of New York’s finest S&M parlours and the Seattle grunge scene where they were highly influential. Nirvana were Psychos fans … they even played shows with Pearl Jam.

LOON LAKE

Loon Lake have built themselves a reputation for being an uncomplicated, sunny band – but the sun sets every evening, and the electric lights flicker on. The boys have spent hundreds of nights in strange cities playing sold-out shows on their national tours. When Cherry Lips was voted in at number 29 in the Hottest 100 in 2013, it was a sweet capper on the year and a rocket up 2013 with their debut album Gloamer released in October.

KINGSWOOD

The mission is simple: to keep Kingswood good. They do this by using only the highest quality ingredients. Every day, before they open the doors, they spend several hours preparing their ingredients (cutting chops, slicing vibe, mashing beats). They have been unstoppable since a huge 2012 with four singles released to critical acclaim and tours with Aussie rock legends Grinspoon and a little known band called Aerosmith.

BO NINGEN

Bo Ningen arrived when Taigen and Kohhei’s bands played on the same bill. Bad news for their previous bands but each had found a kindred spirit, someone else who wanted to leave ‘rock’ behind for something much weirder. Mon Chan and Yuki joined in a similar fashion, hearing the beyond-fucked-up noises of this new two-piece and the four expatriate cosmonauts were set to channel their “pure music”.

RÜFÜS

In a short 18 months, RÜFÜS have been busy. Multiple sold out tours in Australia. Remixes and originals for Kitsuné and Plant. Playing sold out parties in NYC, in front of band members from LCD Soundsystem, Holy Ghost! and Vampire Weekend. High rotation singles, main stage festival appearances and many hours locked in their home studio/dungeon, writing their debut album Atlas. 20

THE ALGORITHM

The brainchild of talented French DJ/producer Rémi Gallego, The Algorithm infuse modern metal riffs and rhythms with a menagerie of electronic sub-genres such as IDM, chiptune and breakcore. Armed with live drummer and cohort Mike Malyan of UK progressive metal upstarts Monuments, The Algorithm’s live experience is quite honestly like nothing the metal or electro scenes have ever experienced.

DZ DEATHRAYS

In the past few years this indie/thrash two-piece have scored an ARIA Award and toured relentlessly. In 2012 they released their debut album Bloodstreams, which received praise from the likes of Pitchfork and NME. Still, Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley are two regular dudes that you might meet at a party…a party where the music is a blend of monster beats firing over an avalanche of guitar.

PEKING DUK

Spark up an electro fuse and a twist of house, blended with a galvanising sloweddown beat, and Peking Duk is served. Catapulting onto the Australian music scene, these Canberra-bred commanders were voted In The Mix’s No.5 DJ for 2013. Anticipated studio time is in order and as the wise Tommy Trash once said: ‘it not only tastes good but sounds even better’.

VIOLENT SOHO

It is difficult to equate the sleepy outer Brisbane suburb of Mansfield with an international success story. Yet spawning from Queensland’s Bible belt come fourpiece Violent Soho, who are well on the way to achieving exactly that. Wearing their hearts firmly across their home made t-shirts, these four unlikely lads scream it loud and proud with a guttural roar that does not let up from beginning to end.

THE JUNGLE GIANTS

How much can change in two years? For Brisbane indie rock band The Jungle Giants, the answer is a lot. Since their first performance in early 2011, The Jungle Giants have released two EPs upon an ever-increasing fan base, undertaken countless national tours and have capped it off with their first full-length release. Learn To Exist marks the end of a busy beginning for the band – and the beginning of a long-lasting adventure.

ALL THE COLOURS

Josh Moriarty, Josh Mann, Jono Toogood and Joe Bramley have come together under the moniker All the Colours, with the ambition of making great music and the ladies dance. This is the kind of music that will find you coolly bobbing your head in time at the start of the show, but come the final song you’ll be swinging along with reckless abandon and a huge grin that’s there for a reason you’re still not entirely sure of.

BEN MORRIS

You won’t find a weekend spare in the schedule of Ben Morris. Dismantling speakers in all his glory from Brisbane to Bondi, there is a whole lot of love coming from a decade of DJ experience and just three years in the studio. Born in the UK yet recognised by Australia’s leading electronic labels across the country, it is imperative to remain tuned in to this talent as his own entity and with vocal ally MC Losty as the team – Morris & Losty. 32

Red Bull No Noise Nightclub Red Bull No Noise Nightclub is once again an oasis of fresh, credible and buzzing new music on the Big Day Out Tour! This year sees the Purple Sneakers team (the lads behind the new music blog www.purplesneakers.com.au) curating talent for the stage and also spinning their unique brand of forward thinking club music, fresh from the blogosphere. They’ll be bringing with them some super talented and unique artists from around the country. This year’s line up features delicious DJ sets from Purple Sneakers blog favourites such as Cosmo’s Midnight, Clubfeet, Kilter, Indian Summer, Oisima, DZ

38

Deathrays, Luke Million, Swick, Tyler Touche and plenty more. Plus add to the mix some of their famous cross-country party buds like I Oh You, Cats and Pilerats DJs and you know it’s gonna be a boisterous tour. Joining them on the Red Bull No Noise Nightclub decks are winners of the DJ competition thanks to Faster Louder, which unearthed some awesome talent. Andy Garvey, aka BAMBII takes the big prize and is touring nationally with RBNNN. Undefined by genre or time, BAMBII is the alter-ego of a girl who is somewhat stuck between the ’90s and now, and is over the moon to be joining

the BDO line up in 2014!!!! Also monumentally excited are the state winners, with Fletcher taking the stage in Gold Coast, Headband in Melbourne, Tony Rebel in Sydney, Faint One in Adelaide and Bunj in Perth. Red Bull No Noise Nightclub continues to deliver the freshest talent on an already outstanding Big Day Out line up featuring Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Snoop Dog, Major Lazor; the talent on Red Bull No Noise Nightclub is surely the cherry on top of a mind blowing day of music.

2014 headspace big day out band competition

Big Day Out has joined forces again this year with Australia’s Youth Mental Health Foundation headspace to raise awareness of mental health among young people. In 2014, they’ve taken it to a whole new level with the headspace Big Day Out national band competition and a dedicated headspace Stage to give bands a chance to rock out with the big guns at every one of the Australian Big Day Out events. The 2014 headspace Big Day Out band competition has

given bands from across the country a once in a lifetime opportunity to play alongside the likes of Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire and perform on the headspace Stage in front of thousands. Swing by the headspace Stage and see for yourself why these bands were voted in by Triple M’s Music Jury of 45,000 members, the Australian public and an expert panel of Australian music industry experts ahead of almost 500 other contenders.

The band winners are: BRUFIELD MY TEAM DILEMMA LUNAR INVERSE FROM THE DUNES (Triple M Music Jury pick) AUDIO REIGN HESTON DROP SKYTHIEF SWEET ANARCHY (Triple M Music Jury pick) ALTITUDE ARCANE SAINTS LET’S NOT PRETEND AUDEMIA (Triple M Music Jury pick) DOUBLE LINED MINORITY SNEEKY PICNIC THE BELLIGERENTS THE ROYALES (Triple M Music Jury pick) BENJALU CUERVO THE NEVER EVER TIFFANY BRITCHFORD & THE RECKLESS ABANDON (Triple M Music Jury pick) Attending Big Day Out is a rite of passage for many young Australians, and headspace want to be front and centre with the young people in attendance to send a message that it’s okay to talk about any problems and that headspace can help. Mental health is the single biggest health issue facing young Australians, and research shows that 75 per cent 40

of serious mental health issues emerge before the age of 25. For more information about headspace or if you are 12-25 and having a tough time or you know someone who is – visit headspace.org.au For more information about the Band Competition please visit headspace.bigdayout.com
