BOYS COLLEGE PREP Nick Fry

Class of 2024

Talking about starting the new year with a bang, Nick did just that! Despite the unsettling weather of January that plagued the west coast, He played his first event in 2023 at the FCG Collegiate Season Opener shooting a 2-day total 145. This was good enough to secure a solo 3rd place. Next stop was the rain shortened FCG National Tour Spring Series Opener where he posted a -2, 70 T2. The final stop for in January was the FCG National Tour San Marcos Open. Under tough conditions, his 2-daay total +5, 147 was enough to claim the championship. Three events with two Top 3 and Champion in one, earns Nick the January FCG Player of the Month.

GIRLS COLLEGE PREP Yeonju An

At the FCG National Tour San Marcos Open, Yeonju finished her first round sitting as the overnight leader with a 2-stroke lead after shooting an even par 72. On the second and final day, she went out and dropped 5 birdies and an eagle. Unfortunately the round wasn’t bogey free so some of the strokes were offset but managed to still post a -2, 70 for a 2-day total of 142. Good enough to take the championship by 7-strokes. Great play under the tough conditions gives Yeonju the right to claim the title of January FCG Player of the Month.
