HORRIBLE BOSSES Video Clip and Discussion – Teacher Notes Introduce the ‘Horrible Bosses’ clip to the group: Dave Harken (played by Kevin Spacey) has been implying to Nick Hendricks (played by Jason Bateman) that he is going to promote him to the role of Senior Vice President of Sales. Accordingly, Nick has been working really hard, doing everything that his boss asks. However, Harken has just announced to the Sales Team that he is going to do the job himself and take most of the salary, on top of his own, for the extra work that he will be taking on.

Discussion 1: What are the characteristics of BAD leadership that Kevin Spacey’s character (Dave Harken) displays in the clip? Students might identify:
