From The Editor's Desk

World War -III ! The entire world is horror struck with the impending danger of the Third World War. If Third World War takes place, there will be abundant use of Atomic and Nuclear weapons which will lead to the total destruction of the civilization. Every now and then the antagonist and provocative statements of the supremo of USA, USSR, North Korea and China are surfacing. It is only the matter of time when even a slight spark ignited from somewhere may pave the way for the out break of catastrophic war leading to the annihilation of the civilization.

Infallible Prediction of regarding World War – III

Nostradamus

Nostradamus born in France on 14 Dec. 1503 had predicted about the 3rd World War long time ago which is quite horrific. The world famous clairvoyant presented his predictions in couplets. Nostradamus had predicted about the explosion of Atom Bomb on Hiroshima. He has given numerous predictions on calamities, war, death and aftermath which have all been proved true and deadly accurate. In one of his predictions, Nostradamus has proclaimed, when the 3rd world war breaks out, the attack of China by chemical weapons will initiate catastrophic scenario in Asia leading to the genocide and assassination which have not happened so far. As per the analysis of the predictions of Nostradamus during the 3rd world war, a sphere of fire from the sky will move forward towards the earth and the entire Indian ocean will submerge in this stormy fire. Due to this incident many nations of the world will submerge into water. He writes – at the start of 3rd World war there will be one leader of such a nation which is surrounded by oceans from three sides, whose name will be synonymous of a wild animal (Should we assume that at this point in time Singh (Lion) is the name of the PM of India which resembles to wild animal). He writes further – Civil war will take place in any nation and a new leader will emerge and rule the country (this has happened in Egypt). A new Pope

will be crowned in other country (this has also taken place). Mangol (China) will initiate a war against the Church (the pseudo war between China and USA is already going on).

What did we lose in Wars Almost 198 wars of high intensity have taken place since 1910 and approximately 260 million people have lost their lives in the camouflage. The expenditure incurred on the killing of one person in First World War was Rs. 68 thousand which has become Rs. 15 crore 50 lakh now. Even then, the insanity of warfare has not pacified. The expenditures on the accumulation and upkeep of Atomic and Nuclear weapons have gone up to the alarming limits of 675 billion dollar per annum. The most devastating and bloody war of 20th Century or you can say of all the times was the 2nd World war which was responsible for the genocide of 40-50 million people. First world War was also devastating which took the toll of the lives of 8.5 million soldiers and 13 million civilians. Even the alive soldiers had also to face the calamities which broke out due to the result of war and the total toll of lives reached up to 50-100 million. In the bloodshed which took place in 20th Century about 9 million Russian Civilians lost their lives. Had these humanitarian and financial resources been used for development and raising the standard of life of the mankind, the scenario of the world might have changed certainly.

RESEARCH JOURNAL Role of Planets with relation to Astrology It has been observed, whenever, the balance of the cosmos is disturbed; that manifests somehow or the other on the earth as well. Whenever maximum planets are located on one side then due to gravitation there emerge unbalance which effect the mind of the human being significantly. Due to this very reason the human being takes aggressive route and his thinking power is decreased substantially. If its impact is felt on the Head of the Nation then it often transforms into war. The effect of the planets are very subtle which can’t be measured through any instrument but its impact is everlasting, it can be understood by the event of tides. When Moon is posited in 4th and 10th house then there is tide on the ocean due to gravitation. On New Moon day Moon and Sun are conjunct due to which its effect is felt even more. On eclipses the effect of gravitation is felt even more when Rahu or Ketu also joins Moon and Sun. In the same way, whenever many planets come in one side of the zodiac, this position becomes the cause of earthquake and other natural calamities. On 18th Nov. 2017 this year, 7 planets will remain within 70° and on 3rd Dec. 2017 also, 6 planets will be between Ketu and Rahu within the angular distance of 70° while Moon will be posited exactly in front of them. Due to this planetary disposition there are chances of occurrence of earthquake of very high intensity which will measure 8.0 or so on richter scale. This earthquake may take place on 3rd Dec. 2017 or a day or two near to it. In order to decide its epicentre the planetary position should be analysed with respect to Rahu and Ketu. Because all the planets are between Ketu and Rahu means below the Moon, hence, their effects on Northern region will be felt between the Latitude 30°-40°. That’s why there is the possibility of earthquake of very high intensity on 3rd Dec. 2017 on given latitude. Planetary Position on 03.12.2017

Planetary Position on 05.02.1962

After such kind of planetary disposition there is generally the possibility of war very often within 6 months. So the chances of breaking out the devastating war can’t be ruled out. The same sort of situation had formed at the time of Kargil War between May 1999 to July 1999. In March 1999, 6 planets except Mars came in between Ketu and Rahu. Before India-China war also (20 Oct. 1962 to 20 Nov. 1962) 8 planets gathered together on 5th Feb. 1962 which resulted in the occurrence of high intensity earthquake in Iran in which more than 12 thousand people lost their lives. During First and Second World war also many planets appeared in the same angular Planetary Position on 13.07.1942

position. The similar planetary position was formed on 23rd July 1914. On 13 July 1942 during the Second World War, 7 planets came within the angular distance of 70° due to which the result of the Second World War was highly terrible. Analysing all these factors, it appears that the cloud of war will start hovering from 18th Nov. 2017 and there are possibilities of natural calamities and war in near future. The same sort of planetary position is going to form in 2018 and 2019 also, therefore the possibilities of earthquakes, natural calamities & wars in near future can’t be ignored. Which countries will get involved in the war ? who will win? It is difficult to predict.

Brief Description of Various Remedies By Abha Bansal

In our universe everything whether it is land, air, water, fire, insects, worms, moths, animal or stone, crystal and metal or else colours, fragrance, shape, size, movement or our earth and planets or stars all of them have some Energy which can do miracle.

M

iracle is not supernatural or unnatural it is something extra, additional and different but very natural and also beyond nature and different from that. Miracle is as natural as a stone and as real as us, our breath and as powerful as Sun. For a specific purpose or problem a specific Gem, Rudraksha, Mantra, Yantra, Tantra, Yagya, Stutipaath (Prayer), Conch, Talisman, Ring, Locket, Crystal or Coin etc. can be used. Stones : Miracle of stones is the use of powers for bringing the change of choice and this is the best example of naturality of miracle because nothing can be more suitable than a rock in a serial wise beginning. This whole discussion was focused to convince that every object in this universe is having some positive or negative energy. Now we can realize that stones have some hidden power, radiations and energies in them. Different stones are having different types of energies in them, which can bring changes in us. So our treasure of stones or Gems can help us a lot. Rudraksha : Similarly Rudrakshas also have electromagnetic properties, which

influence human physiology. Rudraksha Kavach is considered as a more powerful remedial tool because it is made to enhance the positive qualities and to eradicate the negativities that are there in the life of a person. Yantra : Yantras have mystical powers in them and therefore they protect us like a shield. Literally ‘Yantra’ means an instrument. It is like microcosmic picture of macrocosm. These Yantras representing Gods are based on specific geometrical designs and mathematical equations. The Yantras are considered highly efficient because they help you do better in contemplation, concentration and meditation and the possibilities of your making mistakes or going astray while meditating also decrease with the smart use of Yantras. Mantra : Mantras create vibrations inside us and thus enhance our personality and intellect. The powerful vibrations created by Mantra chanting stroke the “Chakras” to attract divine forces. This process mysteriously heals our spiritual, physical and psychological body. Man has unlimited powers inside him. These miraculous powers can be awakened with the miraculous power of Mantra meditation.

Review Pranayama : Pranayama (performing breathing exercises) is considered best Tapa for improving health, eradication of sins, awakening of Kundalini and realisation of god. Prānāyāma is mentioned in verse 4. 29 of the Bhagavad Gītā. According to Bhagavad Gītā As It Is, prānāyāma is translated to “trance induced by stopping all breathing”, also being made from the two separate Sanskrit words, prāna and āyām.

and experienced to be believed.

Paddhati : The complete process of Puja of various layers (Avaranas) of the Yantra of a specific God is termed as Paddhati. Every God and Goddess has a specific Yantra and the process of Puja of it is a subtle aspect which demands lot of concentration.

Paddhati - Ritual worship of the avaranas, the devas attendants.

The pre-requisite eligibility condition for starting Yantra Puja is to do at least 1, 25, 0000 Japa of the Mantra given by Guru. Yantra Puja is the best method of attaining the blessings of presiding deity of Yantra in least possible time. Kavacham : Kavacham, literally meaning armour, is a set of verses invoking a God or Goddess to act as a shield in times of perils. The power of vibration in the Slokas is such that the mere chanting of such verses is supposed to shield us from the particular perils. Sahastranam : Chanting 1000 names of Ishtadevta is termed as Sahastranaam. Most well-known are Vishnusahasranama & Lalitasahasranama. Nowhere else in world literature do we have anything to match these long, ‘streamlined’ poems, densely packed with meaning and seemingly endless recitals of Lord’s names, glories and splendours, with no sacrifice of poetic elegance & grace. Rhythmic sound effects & the elevating moods produced by these Stotras must be heard

Stuti : Stotram and Stuti, come from the same verb, stu (to praise), and basically both mean “praise”. Usually Stuti is a smaller piece than a Strotram. Panchang : A set of five integral limbs of the worship of a specific God/ Goddess is termed as the Panchanga. They are Patala - Mantra given in coded form describing the meditation image.

Kavacha - Kavacha for warding off evil. (usually worn on body) Sahasranama - Chanting 1000 names. Stuti - Stuti is the hymn of praise for the Ishtadevata of the Sadhaka. Suktam : Suktam and Strotram and Stuti literally mean the same thing extolling. Suktam forms part of Vedas. Stotram and Stuti, usually do not. Usually, Stuti is a smaller piece than a Stotram. Stotra : Stotra is a Sanskrit word, that means “ode, eulogy or a hymn of praise”. A stotra can be a prayer, a description, or a conversation, but always with a poetic structure. It may be a simple poem expressing praise and personal devotion to a deity for example, or poems with embedded spiritual and philosophical doctrines. Many stotra hymns praise aspects of the divine, such as Devi, Shiva, or Vishnu. Suprabhatam : The Suprabhatam is the wake up call to God. This is generally a small Stuti which is done early in the morning Ashtakam & Chalisa : Astakam and Chalisa have more to do the fixed number of verses in the prayer. Astakam will have eight and Chalisa, actually they are Hindi prayers and not Sanskrit, comprises of 40 stanzas. Dhyanam

archanam are not prayers. They are types of worship. Dhynam means meditation & archanam means Puja. The books like say, ‘Lakshmi Dhynam’ or Devi Archanam gives you a set of prayers and Pujas on Laxmi which will enable you to use them during the meditation of Laxmi/Devi. Prayer : Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication. Prayer can be either individual or communal and take place in public or in private. It may involve the use of words, song or complete silence. Prayer may be directed towards a deity, spirit, deceased person, or lofty idea, for the purpose of worshipping, requesting guidance, and assistance, confessing transgressions (sins) or to express one’s thoughts and emotions.

Conch : Conch is blown to purify the environment especially while performing worshipping ceremonies. Scientists have agreed the fact that the blowing of a conch increases the positive qualities in the atmosphere such as courage, hope, determination, will power, optimism etc. It is stated everywhere in Hindu mythology that conch brings money and fame. Parad Shivlinga : By worshipping Parad Shivlinga one gets blessings of Lord Shiva quickly because impact of worship of Parad Shivlinga is one thousand crore times more than the worship of any other Shivlinga. Ring : It is believed that Rings cause mystical impact on us because when the stone of ring touches the skin of our finger the positive energies emitted by it causes positive impact on brain because the nerves of our fingers have direct connection with our brain.

Rosary : Different types of Rosaries are used for reciting different Mantras for the accomplishment of very objectives. Seers also say that a rosary of 108 beads gives accomplishment of all Siddhis. As per Numerology the number 108 denotes Siddhi. Therefore, there is tradition of using 108 beads in Japa Mala. Crystal : The Crystals protect us from negative vibrations. It is a powerful medium of light and energy, which works as sonic protection against negativity. It works as transformer and amplifier of various energies into biological energies that rebalance and reenergize our biological system on the cellular, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.

Pyramid : By placing appropriate Pyramid Energy System, the energy force field of the land and building will be transformed into Positive (strong and healthy) and the person’s bio-energy will now be supplemented instead of being depleted. So, the person inside the building will feel less fatigue and tension and have surplus energy to meet the demands and pressures of daily work/life. People in positive energy force field get better sleep, live healthier life, are more satisfied, meditate better & have greater immunity against stress, fatigue, infection and disease.

Review Coin/Locket/Talisman : Coins can be considered as talismans to bring good luck. Lockets of Yantras, Rudrakshas or Gems are meant to be worn in the neck. According to Yogis the positive vibrations of lockets activate Throat Chakra and Heart Chakra. When we wear a locket in our neck it works as a shield for guarding us from black magic, evil spirits and ghosts also from the malefic influence of planets.

Fasting can be done by the powerful people not by the weak. Fasting is the best solution to get rid of sexuality & lust.

Fengshui : Fengshui means wind and water. From ancient times wind and water have been considered two major powers. Wind distributes the energy and water accumulates it. The same energy is responsible for the health, progress and good luck of man. Fengshui products are supposed to improve the flow of positive energy in environment around us.

Arghya : Arghya (water) is offered to Gods to attain desired boon. It is an essential part of all Puja ceremonies. God loves it and that is why it is appreciated highly in Srimadbhagvadgita too.

Colour Therapy : Colour therapy aims to balance and enhance our body’s Energy Chakras and also to help stimulate our body’s own healing process. Colour therapy uses colour to rebalance the Chakras (on energy centres) that have become depleted of energy. Lal Kitab : Lal Kitab has announced unique remedial measures to solve chronic and critical human problems in day to day life. These remedies are cheap and within the reach of common man. Fasting : No form of asceticism is superior to fasting. By doing fasting mind becomes introversive, sight turns clean & body remains light. It is the most effective technique of curing all diseases. Fasting has unlimited power in it because psychological strength works behind it.

Yagya : Different Yagyas are performed to achieve different objectives. For example Mahamrityunjaya Yagya is done to prevent sudden death, accidents and diseases. Sri Durga Saptashatichandi Yagya is effective for accomplishing different objectives like eradication of poverty, sorrow and enemies; Putreyshti Yagya is beneficial for acquiring desired progeny; Bagalamukhi Yagya is very popular & helps to win over enemies and court cases. Sri Krishna Says -

Abhishekam : Abhishekam, is conducted by priests, by pouring libations on the image of the deity being worshipped, amidst the chanting of Mantras. Usually, offerings such as milk, yogurt, ghee, honey, Panchaamrutam, sesame oil, rosewater, sandalwood paste may be poured among other offerings depending on the type of Abhishekam being performed. “Rudraabhisheka” is performed on Shiva lingams. Aushadhisnan : Aushadhisnan with Ayurvrdic herbs has got a special mention in Ayurveda. It improves health. Jal Visarjan : Jal Visarjan is to flow flowers, lamps or idols of Gods or Goddesses, in water to attain special blessings. Devdarshana : Devdarshana (pilgrimage) is considered very auspicious in all religions all over the world. Different people have faith in different temples, therefore, in order to get the blessings of God or Goddess for the fulfilment of their wishes they believe to visit these temples. Charity : Similarly, Charity is a very important part of Puja, other two parts are Japa (recitation of Mantra) and Tapa (asceticism).               r

Vaastu Principles By Pushpendra Kumawat

I

ndian culture and civilization are basically spiritual in nature. For thousands of years the Indian sub continent has remained famous as rich, glorious and golden land. The whole world was attracted to its luxury, grandeur and wished to come to India. Many invaders plundered the wealth of India and even then it is rich in profound knowledge and philosophy. One important secret of the above is ‘Vaastu Shastra’ propounded by Lord Vishvakarma. One scientific truth is that the whole world is made up of five elements i.e. 1. Air, 2. Water, 3. Fire, 4. Earth, 5. Sky. The human life is also made up of same elements. The combination and composition of these elements have extensive impact upon human life which impress human health, grandeur, prosperity and happpiness. These ascertain the speed of development of humanity. There is one belief that whatever a human gets is due to his/her fate (Luck). Yes, fate is important but “Vaastu” is equally important. Vaastu creates an environment and by living or doing profession in buildings made according to Vaastu, one can double his/her achievements being received through the fate. If the fate is not much favourable but the Vaastu is correct, then the losses will be less. The position and speed of the planets and their interrelation also affect our lives. The Sun is the lord of all the planets and release light and fire. The earth is inclined by 23.5° towards East on its axis. It is rotating around the Sun regularly. Due to inclination of the

Earth, the North-East angle is energy field. The magnetic waves of North direction and Sunrays coming from East should enter into our house or business place in abundance, so these direction areas are kept open. The openings of doors and windows are kept towards these direction. By doing this, the habitants and people working there, get more electro-magnetic power with favourable impact. The houses and business establishments made up according to Vaastu Shastra with perfect positioning of machines, office, water resources, energy-electricity, level of land, roads, construction of neighbourhood, right direction & angle etc. will have a favourable and prosperous impact upon the owner and working of that place. Recently, there is increase in violence, selfishness, disturbance, murder, dacoity, corruption in the world and keep the human being in tension. Humanity has been disappearing. Honesty and talk of morality are not liked by people. Here, we can take help of ‘Vaastu’ in which place you keep yourself, it definitely attributes in making your mentality. If you are living or working in a building made up according to ‘Vaastu’, you will accordingly improve. House Construction 1. Intuitive Energy Predictions for 2017 By Shibanii Subodh Kasulla

We need to look beyond our planets & solar system now. Evolution is the biggest word to be mastered in 2017. What will 2017 bring, and what do we need to know now?”

W

e, as astrologers, the so called torchlights for the general public have a bigger responsibility to accomplish now in these coming times. We are not only looked upon as Guides but more importantly the ones who will have an impact on a soul in such a way that will help find the life purpose. Now, while doing all this we as energies , as light workers, as divine messengers also need to be under complete

protection. As predicted be the New Age Energy predictions and also experienced by many of us that there will be a lot of intruding energies on Earth in 2017 which will interrupt the pure path of ascension of souls to the 5D and so we as an important part of this board of energy practitioners will be under continuous surveillance. In this also a lot of Psychic Attacks are possible. Hence we stress upon creating your Sacred Space and working from that so that the Light you emit will be intact & your Aura shinning with Divinity healing Souls. How you have prepared your soil is going to determine what type of harvest you are able to achieve in 2017. Everyone is at their own pace and at different levels on their journey, so try not to compare your journey to others. “This year will enter in a way that will be challenging for some,” guides said, offering the

Review visual image of candy being stripped from the hands of a screaming toddler. “What no longer serves you will be removed, for it impedes your growth and diminishes your light.” “The factors of limitation must be removed, and so, the changes will occur, more rapidly than before. We hold so much love for you, that your well-being must no longer be held in compromise. The comforts that you once knew are of no use to you any longer, and so, like the child, their removal may come with some discomfort. It is merely your old fear that keeps you clinging to the past. We will help you, guide you, to your future light.” The early part of 2017 is all going to be about transition. We are moving out of the energy of 2016 and into the energy of 2017, and it will take some time before we really start feeling the contrast. 2017 holds the vibration of fresh starts and new beginnings. It is also a time to think about the seeds that we want to plant and cultivate for the future. If 2016 was a time to prepare the soil, 2017 is going to be a time to plant things. Some people are going to reap huge bountiful harvests in 2017, while others will have a smaller garden. It all just depends on where you need to be at this stage on your evolutionary journey. All fire signs are going to feel amplified this year, not just because of this Eclipse but also because of the overall energetic tone of the year. This is a very fiery year and while fire is very cleansing and purifying, it can also be extremely destructive if not contained. Following the Lunar Eclipse, we had a Solar Eclipse in Pisces on February 26th. At this point we actually started shifting out of 2016 and into 2017 energetically. In fact, it may not be until this Solar Eclipse that we really start feeling a different energetic vibration.

Also at this time, Venus is going to be in the depths of her retrograde. This is a very significant time that is really going to be helping us adjust our feelings of love and femininity. This is not just in our personal relationships, but it will also be felt on a global level as well. Love is in the air with a lot of pasts digging up for clearance. Venus retrograde is going to be a powerful theme in the first part of 2017 and is going to really help us to open and expand the energy of love. It may also bring up issues that need to be discussed like equal rights for women and love for the planet and fellow human beings. The middle of 2017 from May to August, there is also going to be energy that brings upheaval and may be even events that seem to come out of the blue or by surprise. This will also be seen on a global level as well. As a society, have we been preparing soil that is fertile, loving and able to hold space for new creations? Or is the soil poisoned with ego, greed and corruption? From May to August we will be feeling this energy on a global level, and it is likely that things may be stirring at this point in order for us to see what needs to be changed and what needs our loving attention. August especially is going to be a deeply reflective time, and a time where we our coming into a clarity over what we want to achieve and where we are heading under the energy of this new cycle. This is going to be amplified by the Lunar Eclipse which falls on August 7th in the sign of Aquarius. Air signs are going to feel this one strongly, but because Aquarius also rules humanity and we are in the Age of Aquarius, it is likely we will all be delivered a pretty significant message around this time. As guides continued to speak, they shared insights into the emergence of

galactic forces that will assist us in our transformation. “The field shall expand and your galactic brothers and sisters shall come forth in greater numbers to assist you all in your journey to enlightenment. They shall emerge from within you, from within your societies, and show themselves to those who have eyes to see, and are ready to embrace their truth.” “With these galactic forces will come a great awakening within your energy bodies, new forces will move within.” They showed me a picture of new energy centres in the body that will begin to open, allowing us greater expansion into our spiritual selves and greater vibrational alignments. That is one reason many a times we, as workers of Light might sometimes might feel a little different with our own bodies or may even fall sick at times for no reason because a lot is shifting energetically. This is an exciting time, that all is unfolding beautifully to allow our greatest expansion and light to be brought into this world. We are guided, escorted and supported. Our part of this is to open ourselves and allow, with love. 2017 is now our time of healing from the wounds of the past year, the challenges faced and for many, segregation of spirit. We not only rebuild our spiritual energy, core and lives, but also our countries that are divided and nations that chose conflict rather than compromise. This is the year the fracture is healed and the wounds are soothed and tended. Our lesson is to heal. It is to sometimes endure the pain as the process begins and to understand releasing and letting go, versus forgetting the importance of the lesson. The healing is within, but is also extended to one another and must be without judgment, bias or approval. We receive

what we are capable of giving, and healing requires forgiveness in every sense of the meaning. 2017 is a year that will be remembered, not just in our spiritual cache or core, but it will go down in history as the year that change came in great proportions and amazing form. Each of us is that greater good, and we all participate and we all benefit. By the end of 2017 we will be very close to the vision that was used in our creation. An open, accepting, compassionate universe with humanity filled with grace and where all of nature is to take care of rather than for granted. Numerology measures the energy of 2017 as being a 1- year vibration. The 1- energy inspires you to start new things, head in a new direction, and become confident by overcoming challenges and fears. You are being encouraged to step into a leadership role whenever the opportunity arises. Become a way-shower, become fuelled with passion, and move into your destiny. We are going to be experiencing the duality of this dimension in a whole new way. It is like we are going from the 3D towards the 5D now & presently in the 4D, almost reached 5D. It is more about balancing the masculine and feminine, for example, rather than the feminine pushing against the masculine or vice versa. Remember that old song, “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden”? Spirit reminds us that this human-journey is never going to be easy. It will be rough and tumble. We are meant to get our hands dirty as we help our fellow humans and learn our Earth lessons. We can see more help from above than ever before: angels & Masters walking among us for courage and comfort, guides and teachers imparting wisdom and presenting us with challenges as we grow in compassion. Those on the other side are watching us with hope, waiting

A new reality emerges. Many mystics and spiritual teachers have been saying that we have entered the long-awaited time of ascension. Those who are attuned have been feeling a dramatic shift in the energy, especially since we went through the portal in 2012, the transition begins phase.

“Energy flows where attention goes.” If we strengthen ourselves, we will strengthen the collective consciousness. We create peace by being peace, not fighting for peace.

But you may ask, where is the joy and bliss to be expected of a new age of consciousness? Clearly, we are still in the midst of a great deal of darkness and chaos. Hatred and division have infected our systems. For a new order to rise, the old one must first fall. The process of doing this can be quite painful and chaotic. The prevailing energy promotes the stripping away of façades and revelation

Rashi, Hora, Drekkana, Navamsa, Dwadasamsa and Trimshamsa (Brihat Jatak, Ch. 1.9) Acharya Kalidas in Uttarkalamrita (Ch. II, 3-4) refers to Saptavarga with the addition of Saptamsha, while Acharya Mantreswara (Phaladeepika Ch. 3) refers to Dasavarga or ten Divisional Charts Lagna, Hora, Drekkana, Saptamamsa, Navamsa, Dasamsa, Dwadasamsa, Shodashamsa, Trimshamsa and Shashtiamsa. Most of the treatises mention the manner of preparation of these Varga charts without further elaboration. The manually prepared horoscopes earlier only mentioned Navamsa (D9) chart. may be located in it anywhere between zero to 30 degree. Every degree of a sign has its own peculiarity and consequently a planet gives different result at different degree. To correctly judge the nature of a planet’s effet, our ancient rishis have prescribed many subsidiary charts for determining the correct assessment according to its location is a rashi, which are called Varga (Divisional) Charts. These vary from 1/2 division to 1/60th division of a sign. The Varga charts are complementary to Lagna Chart and indicate the real potential of the planet to produce any event and thereby help in correct and precise prediction. These charts may be termed as miniature horoscope for analysing a specific aspect of life. The Varga (Divisional) Charts are also referred to in brief as D-1 to D-60 respectively. Acharya Varahamihir refers to only Shadvargas (Six Divisional Charts) namely,

The enquiries of the people usually refer to health, wealth, property, differences with co-borns, marriage, progeny, profession / business, parents and tragedies in life. The relevant Varga charts are discussed hereinafter : 1. Lagna Chart (D-1) It is the basic chart. The physical and general well being of the individual is judged from Lagna. Trimsamsa (D-30) chart is also consulted for health and tragedies. Affliction of Lagna its Lord and of D-30 chart Lagna and its Lord, indicates poor resistance against disease. When the current dasa Lord is debilitated, in inimical sign or in 6th, 8th or 12th bhava or afflicted by malefics, the health of the individual suffers. 2. Hora Chart (D-2) The Hora chart is prepared by dividing the sign in two halves of 15° each. Each part is called a Hora. In odd signs the first Hora (0° to 15°) is ruled by the Sun and the second Hora (15° to 30°) is ruled by the Moon. In

even signs this position is reversed, i.e., 1st Hora is of Moon and 2nd Hora is of Sun. Moon Hora Lagna is numbered 4 (Cancer) and Sun’s Hora Lagna is numbered 5 (Leo). The position of 2nd and 11th Lords and Karaka Jupiter in Lagna Chart is looked up in Hora Chart to judge wealth aspect. Chaturthamsa (D-4) Chart is consulted to judge happiness and immovable property. Ekadasamsa (D-11) chart is examined for possibility of sudden gains (labh). The Hora Chart Lagna is either in Sun’s Hora or in Moon’s Hora and all the planets are located in these two Horas and even sign in Lagna and Moon in Moon Hora Lagna, makes native rich without much effort. The native is good natured, contented and devoted to mother. When there is Odd Sign in Lagna, and Sun’s hora Lagna with Sun and other male planets (Jupiter and Mars) there in, the individual is bold and wealthy by own capability, effort and determination. Male planets (Jupier, Sun, Mars) and Sun’s Hora; female planets (Moon, Venus and Saturn) in Moon’s Hora; and Mercury in both Hora give good result. When Jupiter and Venus (Karaka for wealth and prosperity) are in Sun’s Hora Lagna with Sun, the native enjoy wealth, status, respect and happiness. When Jupiter and Venus are in Moon’s Hora Lagna with Moon, the individual is wealthy, happy and cultured. Benefics in Hora Lagna give good results while malefic planets give bad resutls.

Lord of 9th hosue, which is also fiery sign. The same pattern is followed in earthy, airy and watery sign as well. Acharya Varahamihir and Daivajna Kalyan Verma have assigned separated chapter in their Grantha, Brihat Jatak and Sarawali respectively give details about all the Drekkanas. The Drekkana Chart indicates relationship with co-borns. When Lord of 3rd house in Lagna Chart is posited in friendly Drekkana it indicates good results. A planet in own Drekkana confers virtues. When the Moon is posited in its own or in friendly Drekkana, the native is endowed with best qualities of body and mind. According to Uttar Kalamrita, the Lagna Lord occupying the first, second or third Drekkana will make the native a judge, a ruler of Mandala (district) or a head of the village, i.e., gives high status. The Drekkana Chart is also used for knowing the nature of death. When the 22nd Drekkana falling in the 8th house is afflicted by malefics, it causes death according to the nature. For example, Ayuddha Drekkana indicates death by injury, accident or gunfire; Nigada Drekkana indicates death by hanging and Sarpa Drekkana indicates death by poison or suicide. 4. 3. Drekkana Chart

This chart is prepared by making 1/4th division of signs of (7° 30’ each). The first part is ruled by the sign Lord, the 2nd by the 4th Lord, the 3rd by the 7th Lord and the 4th by the 10th Lord.

Drekkana Chart is prepared by making three divisions of a sign (10° each). The first Drekkana is ruled by the Sign Lord itself; the 2nd Drekkana is ruled by the 5th Lord, and the 3rd drekkana is ruled by the 9th Lord. The fiery sign, the first drekkana is ruled by its Lord, the 2nd drekkana by the 5th Lord, which is also a fiery sign, and the 3rd drekkana is governed by the

It is studied for assessing immovable property and comforts to be enjoyed by the individual. The strength of 4th house Lord, significator in Lagna chart, as well as the Chaturthamsa Lagna and 4th Lord in that chart are also examined. When the Lagna Lord and Chathurthamsa Lord are friends, it ensures good prosperity and happiness to the individual.

Review 5. Saptamsa Chart (D-7) This Chart is prepared by dividing the signs into 7 parts of 4°17’8” each. In Odd Signs the Saptamsa divisions are ruled by the Lords of 7 successive signs beginning with that sign itself. In Even Signs, these divisions are ruled by the Lords of seven successive signs beginning with the 7th sign from that sign. The Saptamsa Chart is examined to judge children, grand children and happiness from them. When Saptamsa Chart Lagna Lord is a male planet, the native gets male progeny. When the Lords of Lagna and Saptamsa Lagna are friends it indicates very favourable result. The 5th Lord, planets in 5th house, Karaka Jupiter in Lagna chart, along with Saptamsa Lagna, its 5th house and its Lord when strong confirm birth of male children and happiness from them. When these are weak or afflicted in Saptamsa Chart, the individual lacks happiness of progeny. A malefic planet in malefic sign in Saptamsa Lagna shows problem and unhappiness from children. When Saptamsa Lagna Lord is in 7th or 8th house conjoined with malefics, the person lacks progeny. A planet occupying its own Saptamsa bestows courage, wealth and fame. 6. Navamsha Chart (D-9) Navamsa Chart is made on the basis of 1/9th division (3°20’ each) of the signs in Lagna chart. In a Fiery sign the 9 Navamsa Divisions are ruled by the Lord of 9 successive signs beginning with Aries. In Earthy signs it is governed by the Lords of 9 successive signs beginning with Capricorn. In Airy sign the cycle begins with Libra and in Watery sign with Cancer sign. Navamsa Chart indicates marital happiness and characteristics of spouse. When navamsa Lagna Lord is benefic and in own Rashi, Kendra or Trikona, then the individual has happiness from marriage. When it is in 2nd or 11th house and stong,

it gives wealth after marriage. If afflicted or located in 8th or 12th house the individual lacks marital happiness. Another important use of Navamsa Chart is to judge the real potential of different planets in Lagna Chart. A planet in same sign in Lagna and in Navamsa Chart becomes Vargottama and confers name, fame, success and prosperity. Birth in Vargottama Lagna is considered auspicious. When Lagna and Navamsa Lagna Lords are friends, the native enjoys martial happiness and comforts in life. A powerful Yoga formed in Lagna chart becomes weak or unfruitful, if the planets causing such yogas become weak or afflicted in Navamsha. If a planet is weak or afflicted in Lagna Chart but is well placed in Navamsha, then it gives good results in 2nd half of its dasha and vice versa. 7. Dashamsha Chart (D-10) The Dashamsha Chart (D-10) is prepared on the basis of 1/10 division (3° each) of signs in Lagna chart. In Odd Signs the Dashamshas are ruled by the Lord of 10 successive signs starting with that sign itself. In an Even Sign these are ruled by the 10 successive signs beginning from the 9th sign from it. This chart is examined to judge status, success and fame in profession. If the 10th Lord and planet located in 10th house in Lagna Chart are strong in Dashamsha Chart, then the native enjoys success in profession. When the planet in 10th house of Lagna Chart is located in Fixed Sign in Dashamsha Chart and conjoins with a Benefic Planet, the native does business but if that planet is in Movable Sign and associated with Malefic Planet in Dashamshas Chart then he does service. When a planet is good in Lagna Chart but weak in Dashamsha Chart, the native achieves great success in his profession and then suffers a downfall. If Lagna Lord and Dashamsha Lagna Lord are friendly, the individual is successful in business but when inimical then he suffers loss. For example, if Sun occupies the 10th

house in Lagna chart but occupies 12th house (loss) in Dashamsha chart, the native rises in his profession followed by a downfall. 8. Dwadasamsa Chart (D-12) This chart is made on the basis of 1/12 division of sign (2°30’ each). In every sign in Dwadasamsa portions are ruled by the Lords of 12 successive signs beginning with the Lord of that sign. Dwadasamsa Chart is used to evaluate the parental help and happiness to be enjoyed by the individual. When the Lord of Dwadasamsa Chart Lagna is a male planet and is posited in Own, Friendly or Exaltation sign and located in Kendra or Trikona, such individual gets full happiness of parents (father). When the Dwadasamsa Lagna Lord is female and located in similar position, the native enjoys more of maternal affection and happiness. If it is located in 6th, 8th or 12th house then such happiness is denied. When the lord of Lagna and Lord of Dwadasamsa Lagna are friends, the native has good relations with parents. When the Lord of 4th and 10th house in Lagna chart is in friendly sign in Dwadasamsa Chart the native gets full happiness and supoorts of parents. Conversely, the result is otherwise. The conjunction of the Sun and Saturn creates enmity between father and son. Conjunction of Sun and Moon creates differences between mother and son. The native becomes devout and helpful if a planet is in its own Dwadasamsa . 9. Shodasamsa Chart (D-16) This chart is made on the basis of 1/16th division of signs (1°52’30” each). In Movable Signs the Shodasamsa divisions are ruled by 16 successive signs beginning with Aries. In a Fixed sign these are ruled by 16 successive signs beginning with Leo. In a common sign the reckoning is done from Sagittarius sign. This chart is consulted for judging vehicular comfort

of the native. 10. Trimsamsa Chart (D-30) This Varga chart is prepared on the basis of 30 divisions of signs (1° each). In Odd signs the first five Trimsamsas are ruled by Mars, the next 5 by Saturn, the next 8 by Jupiter, the next 7 by Mercury and last 5 are ruled by Venus. In Even signs the order is reversed, i.e., the first 5 Trimshamsas are ruled by Venus, the next 7 by Mercury, the next 8 by Jupiter, the next 5 by Saturn and last 5 by Mars. No Trimsamsa is assigned to Sun and Moon. This chart is consulted to lookup for tragedies and the character of ladies. A planet in own Trimsamsa gives good result. If a planet indicates happiness in Lagna chart but is weak or afflicted in Trimsamsa Chart, the native faces many difficulties in life during this Dasha Bhukti and its unfavourable transit fructifies the event. Evaluation of Varga Charts As will be clear from the above details , the preparation of Varga (Divisional) Charts requires much time and labour. For their prepartion birth time should be absolutely correct. The calculation has been made quite easy by computer programmes. Varga Charts are now indicated in computer generated horoscope for ready reference. The result of evaluation will be as follows : 1. A planet becomes very auspicious when it is located in Exaltation, Mooltrikona, own or Friendly Sign in Kendra, Trikona or Vargottama in many Varga charts. However, a Combust or Debilitated planet in Lagna Chart eventhough strong in Varga Chart gives little good result. A Debilitated planet when Vargottama gives mixed results. 2. When any Varga Chart Lagna is aspected by benefic planets it enhances its result. For example, when Navamsha Lagna is aspected by benefics, it indicates

Review good comforts and marital happiness. 3. When Rashi and Varga chart Lagnas are identical, the individual enjoys very good result of the relevant matter, like Vargottama. 4. Exchange of houses by planets in Varga Chart gives good result. 5. A planet getting Yogakaraka status in Varga Chart gives good result of the matter signified by it throughout life. 6. The strength of Lagna Lord should invariably be examined in Varga Charts, if it is in inimical position in many Varga Charts, the native suffers from poverty and struggles in life. 7. When the Lords of Lagna, Navamsa Lagna and rising Drekkana are strong, the native is blessed with every comfort in life and is very fortunate. 8. When Lagna Lord of Varga Chart goes to 8th house, it destroys the result of that chart. 9. When the 10th house and its Lord is strong in Lagna chart, Navamsa, Dasamsa and Ekadasamsa chart, the native reaches high status and enjoys name and fame in that planet’s dasha Bhukti. 10. Moon in own Drekkana or Friendly Drekkana makes the person handsome and attractive. 11. A planet in own Trimsamsa gives good result and happiness. Result of planets well placed in many Varga Charts. When a planet is located in own, Friendly, Mooltrikona or exaltation sign in two Varga Charts it is called Parijat and confers noble qualities, wealth, recognition, happiness and prosperity. When a planet is good in 3 Varga Charts, it is called Uttam and makes the individual capable, wealthy, modest and popular. When a planet occupies good position in 4 Varga Charts it is called Gopur, and

blesses the native with wisdom, wealth and property. When a planet occupies Benefic position in 5 Varga Charts it is called Simhasana. As the name suggests, it bestows royal (state) favour and trust and he lives like a king. When a planet occupies Benefic position in 6 Varga Charts it is called Parvat and bestows the native with sophisticated vehicles and he leads an aristocratic life. When a planet occupies good position in 7 Varga Charts it is called Devaloka and makes the native a popular ruler or administrator in its dasa bhukti. When a planet is good in 8 Varga Charts, it is called Suraloka and confers on the native good luck, wealth, progeny and high status. When a planet is good in 9 Varga charts it is called Airavats and makes the native fabulous like Indra Dev on earth, who enjoys great wealth, name and fame. When a planet is good in 10 Varga Charts it is called Sridhama or Vaisheshik and confers excellent luck, prosperity and wealth like a king. Thus, when a planet is good in many Varga Charts in horoscope it makes the native lucky, prosperous and happy in his life. For example, in the appended horoscope: Jupiter is located at 1°30’ in Sagittarius sign. It is in its Mooltrikona sign and (i) own Drekkana, (ii) own Saptamsa, (iii) own Dasamsa, (iv) own Dwadasamsa and (v) own Shodashamsa. Example Horoscope By virtue of its occupying good 2 12 3 11 1 position in six Varga charts it attains Parvat 4 10 status and bestows 7 5 a highly dignified 9 Ju position and comfort 1°30’ 8 6 of excellent vehicles in its dasa, bhukti to native.

Ancient Feng Shui & Academic Success

Sayamantika Masson

“A brilliant teacher produces an outstanding student.” History has confirmed this to us repeatedly. In the Buddhist tradition, the teacher is a valued and honoured mentor worthy of great respect and a source of inspiration on the path to Enlightenment. The teacher is viewed as the very root of spiritual realisation and the basis of the entire path. Without the teacher, it is asserted, there can be no experience or insight. The guru is seen as Buddha. The disciple is asked to enter into a series of vows and commitments that ensure the maintenance of the spiritual link with the understanding that to break this link is a serious downfall. A guru or teacher is regarded as one which has not only mastered the words of the tradition, but one that with which the student has an intense personal relationship; thus, devotion is seen as the proper attitude towards the guru. Did Ancient Gurus have magical powers to produce miraculous students or have we become too modern to review and practice our ancient Fengshui? The answer is Simple! Our Ancient gurus not only worked hard with their students but they also understood the universal energy, which enabled them to harness the excellent Chi that enhanced Education

Luck. Would you like to be able to tap into Educational Luck ? Well, let’s start by locating the North East Sector of your classroom. According to the Nine Life Aspirations Formula, the Universal Education Sector is situated in the North-East of any space. This could be the North-East corner of your house, your office, your workroom, your study, or even your desk. When the Education Sector is activated, students perform better academically with lesser effort. Please select a good compass to allocate the directions accurately. It is very important to note that Feng Shui deals with the balance of energy. So, it is the magnetic direction which is to be calculated here. Once you have established your North-East direction, enhance your Education Luck by energising the space with the element that governs that space. In the case of the North-East sector, the governing element is Small Earth. To activate the inherent energies of this corner of your classroom, decorate it using the colours and the symbols that are associated with the Earth

Review element. Try using natural quartz crystals or ceramics. A world map or a globe would make a great choice. Earth colours range from mild yellows to deep browns. You can also use the symbol of Fire to enhance the Education Sector in the Northeast. This is due to the fact that in the Productive Cycle of Elements, the element that produces Earth is Fire. So, you can try your hand at decorating with the colours and symbols associated with the Fire element. An excellent way to energise with the Fire element is by using bright lights. You can also use the colour red. Clearing of Shar Chi (Negative Energy): If, you sense that the classroom is somehow not conducive towards learning then perhaps some feng shui space clearing is in order. This is a good method for clearing the space of all the negative energies that might be adversely affecting you and your students. You can do it with a Singing Bowl or simply run an incense stick with a prayer. Teachers can further tap Educational Luck by using the Eight Mansions Formula, which is a more personalised method of practicing Feng Shui. Basically, face your Fu Wei Direction while you are teaching in the classroom. Use your Kua Number to determine your Fu Wei Direction, which is indicated as your Fourth Best Direction. Simply align your desk in school to face this direction, or any of your other good directions. Arrange for your students to sit facing their Fu Wei direction while studying. For better results, teach them to practise this whether in the classroom or at home or in the library. Then sit back and watch them flourish under your guidance. If you’re finding it difficult to concentrate, or fall asleep whenever you open your books to study, wear a Jade Pagoda around your neck. The pagoda is an excellent energiser which will help you sort out your life priorities. It is sure to keep your mind from drifting elsewhere, so it

prevents distraction from steering you off the right track. It is also a great amulet for children who are stubborn or difficult to control. If you don’t like wearing pendants around your neck, you can simply display a Pagoda in the Northeast corner of your study room or of your desk. While feng shui can help remove some of the study and exam hurdles that every student is bound to face, remember that it cannot magically turn your child into a straight “A” student. Use of feng shui should be complemented by hard work as well as smart work. Teach your child how to study right so the hours of work put in do not get wasted. Here are some simple but effective ways: Avoid reading and re-reading A) everything for a test. Ask your child to make notes while studying. When you re-write what you have read, and reorganise the knowledge such that it makes most sense to you, you trigger your retentive powers, but more importantly, your understanding of the knowledge. Once that knowledge clicks in your head, reproducing it in the exam hall becomes so much easier. B) The mind works best with pictures. Get your child a set of different highlighters for them to highlight different passages that they read. Use different colours for different themes. Doodle everything with different colours! Another great way to organise C) information in the head is to make mind maps. These are diagrams used to structure, visualise and classify ideas and information. D) If you have too many things on your mind, you cannot make the most of any single thing. To learn something really well, you must focus. The best way to achieve focus is to allocate enough time for each subject, and when you are working on that subject, stick with it for at

Last but not least, make sure you sleep with your head pointed to your Fu Wei direction. Your mind does not necessarily sleep when your body sleeps; a lot of your activities through the day make their way into the inner recesses of your mind when you lie asleep at night. Make your sleeping hours work for you by ensuring that the chi that enters your head is energy that brings good luck. This will multiply your chances of success enormously.   r

Demonetisation and After By O.D. Mande

It was the prime time on the night of 8th Nov 2016, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi made a long televised appearance, proclaiming the death (demonetisation) of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination notes, leaving the nation stunned. The people were given time upto 30th Dec. 2016 for exchange/deposit of old currency notes. The objective behind this move was to curb the menace of black money and terror funding. The scheme became operative wef 00Hrs of 9th November 2016.

Ascendant lord Moon is in 8th house (hidden wealth –black money ) conjunct with Ketu--sudden action. Moon is in the star Dhanishtha of yogakaarak and exalted Mars, but becomes debilitated in Navamsa. Mars as 10th lord shows Prime Minister, the key person behind this scheme. The ascendant is strong with 38 Sarvashtakavarga points, 10th house has 32 points and 11th house has 27 points. Saturn can be taken to represent the people at large while 8th co-Lord Rahu shows black money. The placement of Rahu in 2nd house shows the evil effect of black money on nation’s finance. Venus as 4th lord shows domestic (i. e. within the

country) wealth in the form of cash and as 11th lord shows gain from the scheme and is placed in the 6th house of loans i. e. banks. In Navamsa Venus is conjunct with exalted 2nd lord Sun. Punya saham (13Ar39) is well placed in the 10th house. The Dasa was Mars—Venus up to end of March 2017 followed by Mars—Sun. The Prime Minister’s respect /popularity has gone up after the announcement of this scheme. This is shown by the activation of Gaurav saham (8Ar10 ) owned and aspected by Dasa Lord Mars. The scheme was expected to be a good success unlike the scheme of 1978 launched during Janata Party rule. The bankers have become important and were also overstressed during the implementation of this scheme. The chart shows this. Mars as 5th lord showing bank staff is exalted and also aspected by Saturn (hard work causing stress) from 5th house itself. Let us have a look at the chart of India. The second house in India’s chart shows nation’s wealth viz gold, silver, diamond, minerals and all natural resources. But does it show currency too? Well, currency is synonymous with money/wealth but so long it is a legal tender. The RBI (Reserve

Review of 2nd house from Jupiter is seen to be 19 Sg4. The dasa on 9 Nov 2016 was Moon— Mars—Mercury. Moon and Mercury are in the 8th house from this A2 whereas Mars is placed in the 7th house (marak) from it.

Bank of India) Governor’s words “I promise to pay the bearer the sum of-----Rs” on currency notes also suggest that currency itself is not money. In other words, currency is perception of money which is better shown by the arudh of 2nd house. We can take arudh of second house from ascendant or from Jupiter, the significator. These houses are lorded by Mercury and Jupiter respectively. Mercury is conjunct with four planets while Mars occupies 2nd house from ascendant. Secondly, 2nd house from Jupiter is occupied by its co lord Ketu. Therefore of these two planets, Mars is preferable. Demonetisation can take during the dasa of planets marak for A2 and/or the lords of 22nd Dreshkan and 64th Navamsa of A2 itself. The Arudh

The deadline of depositing old currency (30 Dec2016) has expired. The total cash in circulation (in Rs 500 & 1000 denominations) before demonetization was stated to be Rs 15.4 trillion ( lakh crores) out of which Rs 14 trillion is reported to have been deposited in banks till the last day. Old currency could still be deposited in Reserve Bank of India branches up to 31 March 2017, but such deposits are expected to be an insignificant fraction of the amount deposited already. It was estimated that about Rs 3 trillion may not return to the banks but this amount (Rs 1.4 trillion)comes to about half of the estimate. The government now has the stupendous task of determining how much of the money in circulation was black, an exercise to be carried by the income tax department. The deposits are being withdrawn in installments and will continue to be withdrawn, but all such withdrawals would leave their footprints in the form of debit entries in the accounts, making it possible to track them if considered necessary. No such monitoring was possible earlier. This itself is a major qualitative change and gain. As far as black money is concerned, much of it must have been laundered or converted in the form

Review assets like gold, silver, diamond, property etc. A number of raids were carried by income tax sleuths during Nov –Dec 2016 in which Rs 3900 crores (approx) worth of new currency in the form of Rs 2000 notes was seized. This may be the tip of the iceberg but it confirms fresh generation of black money. Incidentally this suggests a possibility of another DeMo of the new pink currency notes at some future date. DeMo had inconvenienced people by making them stand in queues for cash for hours. People had become panicky as if they had forfeited their deposits. Some 85 people standing in queues and about 12--14 bank staff members have died during this period. This only shows Indians’ excessive dependence on cash for every transaction. They have been using plastic cards mainly for cash withdrawals from ATMs, and to a very small extent for making payments directly by card. Yet the people have wholeheartedly supported this move. If people were against it, their anger would have certainly found expression as Sanjay Gandhi and Congress found in 1977. DeMo is also said to have caused job loss, affected regular business of banks (giving credits ) and GDP growth rate, but has given the under mentioned benefits too. (1) A huge tangible benefit of DeMo has been the unifying effect it has had on an otherwise divided country. (2) Since the implementation of DeMo, stone pelting in Kashmir had completely stopped for about three months, obviously due to cash crunch for this evil activity. Pak agents and naxalites were also suffocated due to severe cash crunch. It is reported that a huge amount of the order of several hundred crores stashed by naxalites had become useless overnight. Does the chart show curb on terror funding ? It does. The terrorist saham is seen to be 20Pi9 posited in the 9th house. The demonetized currency shown by debilitated Sun is in 8th from this

saham while the saham lord Jupiter is in maransthan. Jupiter and Sun are in 2/12 positions too Mercury as 12th lord also shows secret enemy (terrorists/naxalites/ Maoists) and is conjunct with debilitated Sun—useless currency !. (3) About 400 Naxalites are reported to have surrendered during three months since 9th November 2016 due to severe cash crunch. Underworld activities have also come down for the same reason. (4) Human trafficking (women and children) has reduced considerably as this cruel, immoral and illegal trade involves cash transaction. In the DeMo chart women are shown by Venus (significator) who is in maransthan ----having no value/ demand due to cash crunch. Their buyers are shown by 12th lord (7th lord from Venus) Mercury who is conjunct with debilitated Sun ---useless currency! Children are shown by Jupiter (significator) who too is in maransthan –no value/demand due to cash crunch ! Their buyers are shown by 9th Lord (7th lord from Jupiter) who also happens to be Jupiter. (5) Post DeMo, real estate prices have come down significantly for the same reason viz cash crunch. This is shown by weak 4th lord Venus. (6) The prices of vegetables and some food items (pulses) have come down significantly. The 6th house is Upachaya (nourishment/growth) and represents stomach too. This is occupied by Venus (placed in maransthan i.e cheaper ) who as 4th lord represents, inter alia, domestic items like vegetables/food. (7) A large number of people (over 90 lakhs) have come in the income tax net. (8) More people are trying to adapt themselves to cashless mode of transaction though at a slow pace. This transformation suggests that replacement of the entire value of demonetized currency may not be necessary. This would indirectly put

some brake on future inflation. The growth in cashless transaction is not easy and is bound to take a long time. At present digital transactions in India are a miniscule 2 per cent, compared to advanced economies like the US, where it is 45 per cent. The Aadhar card can be used to create bank accounts through micro ATMs. Under the ambitious Jana Dhan Yojana 25 crore bank accounts have been created, yet 45 per cent of Indians are said to be still unbanked. But the good news is that India has the backbone for a digital payment society. PayTM and some more e—wallets are already available and in the recent past “ Bhim “ has been launched. Astrologically, digital transaction has good future because in India’s chart Vanik Saham (17Ge29)) signifying trade (buying/selling) is owned by Mercury in the star of Rahu (electricity), aspected by Jupiter and happens to be in Pushkarbhag too. As IT minister Sh Ravi Shankar Prasad is fond of saying : ”Indians first observe technology, then they adapt it, and after that they adopt it! “ Hopefully this would come true. The currency crunch in cities has eased noticeably as apparent from the absence of long queues in banks, but all ATMs have not become 24/7 operational. The currency crunch in rural areas is relatively acute. For this reason the Govt has directed banks to send 40 percent new

currency to villages. When would the currency availability become normal? let us go back to the DeMo chart. After the transit of Saturn to Sagittarius in January 2017, the 2nd house has become free of Saturn’s 10th aspect. The fifth house (4th from 2nd house) showing happiness from currency has also become free of Saturn’s effect. The dasa around mid April 2017 will be Mars—Sun –Mars, when 2nd lord Sun will become exalted. Therefore, by mid April 2017 the currency crunch will be over. The Reserve Bank of India is confident of supplying new notes to the extent of 67% of demonetized notes by end of January 2017 and up to 79—89% by the end of February 2017. So by mid April 2017 the cash crunch is expected to be over, unless the RBI decides to scale down the supply of new notes in order to nudge the people to continue to switch over to digital transaction. The decision of demonetisation was very bold & risky yet called for. As expected, it was criticized by opposition political parties immediately and continuously. Some experts and agencies too criticised it without waiting for a few months to see its fallout. Even the immediate benefits listed in this article were not recognized by most of them. But in the history of India Demonetisation will be mentioned as a major landmark, like Green Revolution, White Revolution and Eradication of Polio.           r
