Future Urban Regions

The Future Urban Region lectorate explores urban (eco) systems and innovative design tools for the existing city. From a changing understanding of the use of space, it works to improve urban environmental performance, the economic situation, and/or socio-cultural participation. This agenda guides the assignments of (specific forms of) design research, which are commissioned by local and regional authorities, to be embedded in the education curriculum of the six Dutch Academies of Architecture.
