Welcome everyone to the 89th FVMA Annual Conference. We are excited to welcome you again to the beautiful city of Tampa! We invite you to fully enjoy the ambience of the Tampa Convention Center and the Tampa Bay area. The Florida sunshine and cool breezes of springtime in Tampa provide the perfect time for this annual meeting of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and we thank you for choosing to join us this year. This meeting promises to be our best yet as we provide world-class continuing education for the entire veterinary care team. Our program begins on Thursday with a full day of wet labs, followed by lecture sessions, additional wet labs, and workshops on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The program offers specialized scientific and clinical tracks for the small animal practitioner, topics designed specifically for veterinary technicians, as well as practice management and professional development classes to benefit your team. We are committed to exceeding expectations in 2018. I’d like to invite you to take time this weekend to enjoy some of the amenities of this exceptional city and remember that this meeting is all about you and your best possible experience. It’s my hope that you will leave the conference energized, refreshed and ready to face the opportunities that await you at home.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

WELCOME

The Annual Conference Committee and FVMA staff have worked diligently to provide speakers who will motivate and educate you and your team. Industry is here to provide the latest advances in our profession at great show prices. I invite you to take time to visit all of the vendors in our exhibit hall and get your bingo cards filled for your chance to win the fabulous prizes being offered. I also extend a special invitation for you to enjoy the other events we have planned for you this weekend. Please support our fundraising activities such as our Wine Toss, Novelty Store and the $5,000 Reverse Raffle, all benefitting the FVMA Foundation. Join us on Saturday evening for the Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard the luxury yacht StarShip. I hope you and your friends can let your hair down and take in the breathtaking scenery of Tampa Bay while enjoying a fabulous dinner, live music, open bar, and dancing. After months of preparation, I am very pleased that you are here with us for an exceptional 89th FVMA Annual Conference. Welcome!

Alex M. "Steve" Steverson, DVM President
