Using cadavers and high end dental equipment, working in small groups guided by highly trained dental techs, attendees will be able to take their dentistry skills to the next skill level. Lab participants will perform dental charting, appropriate hand scaling techniques, power scaling, and sharpening. The use of dental sealants will also be covered. Take your dentistry skills to the next level. Perform dental charting, appropriate hand scaling techniques, power scaling, and sharpening. The use of dental sealants will also be covered.
Using cadavers and high end dental equipment, working in small groups guided by highly training Dental Techs, attendees will have the opportunity to perform a variety of oral nerve block techniques utilizing canine and feline skull models as follows: Canine dental blocks to include the mandibular, middle mental, maxillary and infraorbital nerve blocks, and feline blocks demonstrated will include the mandibular, maxillary, and infraorbital nerve blocks. Helpful tips and pointers will also be discussed. Prior attendance to the lecture portion entitled Dental Nerve Blocks for Technicians is strongly advised.

This 4-hour lecture/lab will open with an overview of laser technology and its uses in general practice, tricks to get the best clinical results with the laser you have or plan on getting, and some research on how it works and what it does. Following the lecture, students will participate in an interactive presentation of cases, protocols, and treatments on live canines. Advanced Registration It is strongly recommended that you register in advance for our 3rd Annual Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference. Registration is required for all aspects of the meeting. Your registration covers all CE sessions, access to the Conference Exhibit Hall, conference proceedings, reception in the exhibit hall, other social events, and all complimentary refreshment breaks. Registration does not cover ticketed social activities and wet labs. Wet labs carry a separate fee, and attendees are encouraged to register for wet labs early to secure their seats. Pre-registration is required for all workshops. Advanced registration deadline is September 25, 2015. After this date, a late registration fee of $75 for veterinarians, $25 for team members, will be added to all registrations, including on-site registrations. Contact the FVMA at (800) 9923862; or by email at info@ fvma.org. Confirmation A confirmation of your registration will be mailed to you. Please contact us if any information in the confirmation is incorrect for timely correction of the error. Cancellation Policy Cancellation deadline for a full refund of registration fees minus a $50 administrative charge is September 25, 2015. Cancellations should be submitted to the Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference in writing, and acknowledged by the above date to be eligible for a refund. Cancellations after that date and noshows are non-refundable. Americans with Disabilities Act Persons with disabilities who plan on attending the Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference and need auxiliary aids or services are requested to make arrangements by contacting the TGAVC at (800) 992-3862 no later than September 25, 2015.

Name Badges Name badges are required and will be checked at all conference functions. You and your guests must be registered conference attendees to receive a badge. An attendee traveling with a spouse/guest who does not wish to attend the CE sessions may purchase a spouse/guest badge that allows the spouse/guest to attend all refreshment breaks and social events (except ticketed activities) for a cost of $50. On-Site Registration On-site registration will be available at the TGAVC registration desk at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. G E N E R A L AAVSB RACE This program was reviewed and approved by the AAVSB RACE program for 340 hours of continuing education. Participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. Please contact the AAVSB RACE program if you have any comments/concerns regarding this program’s validity or relevancy to the veterinary profession. A maximum of 30 credit hours can be earned at this conference.
Wet Labs & Workshops A wet labs only day is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2015. Take advantage of this unique hands-on opportunity for all-day lab immersion. Wet labs and workshops are also scheduled for other days during the conference. Wet labs and some workshops carry fees that are separate from conference registration, and have limited seating. Registration is essential to secure your seat in a wet lab or workshop. Wet labs are available to registered conference attendees, as well as to those who wish to attend wet labs only, at the costs fixed by TGAVC. Proceedings One complimentary DVD copy of the Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference proceedings will be provided to each registered conference attendee. Additional copies may be purchased at the registration desk for TGAVC. TGAVC Exhibit Hall The Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference features a vibrant exhibit hall to showcase the best products and services of the veterinary supply industry.
