Head of School Dear Athletes, Families and Fans, At Fort Worth Country Day, we believe deeply in the value of participating in competitive team sports. In this most unusual year, we are especially grateful for the opportunity FWCD student-athletes are getting to hone their skills and to work with teammates. Our coaches have faced significant challenges navigating the COVID-19 version of each and every sport. Our student-athletes’ parents have also faced unusual challenges. To be limited to two adult fans in the stands for home games means you are not getting the opportunity to celebrate your child as you are accustomed to doing. Most importantly, our students have faced their own challenges and, no doubt, have felt their traditional experience compromised. We are proud of their resilience and their ability to make the most of the opportunity. More than ever, we, at FWCD, are grateful for the simple opportunity to build a team and compete as a part of that team; we are grateful for our opponents and the opportunity they are giving us to enjoy the value of competitive sports; we love winning, and we are committed to joining together, with fellow Falcons and opponents, to cherish playing the game or running the race. Falcon Club Presidents Dear Falcon Fans, This year obviously looks a little different for our athletic programs, but we can still cheer on our outstanding student-athletes! We hope the return to sports competition will also bring a return to school spirit for ALL FWCD’s families. No matter your division, you can show your support by joining Falcon Club, FWCD’s athletic booster club, which helps to fund Middle School and Upper School sports, as well as Lower School and Middle School PE programs.
