We’ve done our homework and prepared for the season by refurbishing 10 of our rooms. The Gürtl team is simply bursting with energy to make your holiday unforgettable.

Sustainable tourism

We carry the Austrian Eco Label and continuously strive to im prove our processes, in line with the label’s requirements for accommodation providers.

We want to show you just how important environmental princi ples are to us. In our hotel, we do whatever we can to use ener gy and water efficiently and prefer using renewable energy sources. We use 100 % green electricity, certified with the Aus trian Eco Label, and the energy we use for heating comes from a regional biomass power plant.

Minibar is not switched on

• Choosing a climate-friendly way of travelling and using public transport. We operate a free pick-up service from Schladming station.

• Doing your bit to save energy: Turn off lights, heating and air conditioning when they are not needed.

• Reducing your consumption of water and cleaning supplies: Have your towels changed upon request (not automatically), report leakages etc.

• Separate your waste: Glass bottles, plastic and metal packages as well as paper should be placed in the containers provided (night entrance, main building, foyer) or left next to the bin in in your room on your day of departure.

• Helping to prevent food waste: Opt for smaller portions. You can always get more from the buffet, not just at breakfast, but also at dinner. Our kitchen team will be delighted to see you enjoying your meal!

Don’t be surprised if you find that your minibar is not cold this year. We have racked our brains try ing to think of ways to save energy that wouldn’t affect our guests too much. Experience has shown that the minibars don’t get used much, although the fridges actually consume quite a lot of electri city. We have therefore decided to stock the mini bars, but to leave them off. If you would like your drinks to be chilled, please contact reception. We will then switch on your minibar for you, and it will be cold by the next day at the latest. Alternatively, use our free room service and order chilled drinks from the hotel bar.

Wining & dining

Consumers are increasingly asking themselves where exactly their food is coming from. This trend is also noticeable in the gastronomy sector.

The AMA Gastro Seal of Quality has been around for many ye ars, ensuring the transparent labelling of meat, dairy products, eggs, potatoes, fruit, vegetables, venison and freshwater fish on menus throughout the country. We prepare our exclusive menus using fresh, seasonal and regionally sourced products on a daily basis and are happy to accommodate special dietary requests or vegetarian diets.

Dinner from 6pm until 8:30pm, served in our restaurant for hotel guests as part of their half board. Look forward to the salad bar and the weekly theme buffets.

We kindly ask you to let us know if you won’t be coming to din ner. In that case, we‘ll deduct € 10.00 from the half-board price.

How do I get the best price?

The early bird catches the worm!

The price shown at the time of purchase is always the lowest price. It will continue to rise until it has reached the maximum (ticket desk price).

How do I get my ski tickets?

You may order your ski passes in the comfort of your own home via the Ski amadé online ticket shop.

• If you still have your KeyCard (ski pass), you may recharge it in the online ticket shop. To do this, enter the KeyCard num ber from the back of the card. It will then be recharged with the product your selected.

• If you purchase a new ski pass, it will be sent to you by mail Please bear in mind that this may take 5 to 10 working days.

• Alternatively, use the pick-up function: You will receive a QR code by mail, which you may then use to collect your ski pass at any lift cash desk or at the ticket machine.

The Hauser Kaibling is your access point to the 4-mountain ski region that links the resorts of Hauser Kaibling, Schladming-Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm.

37 km of beautiful pistes for skiing and snowboarding, deepsnow slopes for freeriding, state-of-the-art, efficient cable cars and long downhill runs guarantee fun on the slopes for be ginners and experienced skiers alike. Ski schools, ski rental & ski service providers as well as rustic lodges complete the mul ti-faceted offer. There is a good reason why the Hauser Kaibling was awarded the Piste Seal of Quality and has twice come first in the ranking of the international ski area test!

Is it possible to change the period of validity of a ski ticket in retrospect?

Once you have completed your order, the period of validity of the ski ticket can no longer be changed. The ticket is only valid during the specified period. Please note that the cancellation option for your ski ticket must be added to your ticket shop booking separately

Our north-facing rooms stand out for their panoramic views of the mountains. The rooms facing south, east and west are wonderfully quiet and filled with the gentle scent of the forest.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions apply.

All bookings for the 2022/23 winter season may be cancelled or moved to a different date free of charge until 30 days before your arrival, without having to provide a reason.

For cancellations made at a later point, the following policy applies:

• 29 to 14 days before your arrival: You will be charged 40 % of the total price

• For cancellations made from 13 until 7 days before your arrival, we will charge 70 % of the total price.

• From 6 days before your arrival and in case of no-show, you will be charged 90 % of the total booking price.

We also offer FREE CANCELLATIONS made later than 30 days before your planned departure if any of the following applies: If our hotel is closed by official order or the village of Haus is closed off by official order. If a level 6 travel warning was issued for your home country or your district. If the borders to Austria are closed and it is not possible to enter the country for the purpose of a holiday.
