I am a London-based printmaker and mixed-media artist. My work, which is inspired by memory, blends a fusion of painting and digital transfer and takes the shape of one-off collages on canvas and giclee prints on paper. I use old family photos –both my own and other people’s- as metaphors for personal memories, to suggest the stories behind captured moments from our past. I see photographs as powerful metaphors for human memory –they represent something that has been and will never be again, personal documents which tell a story, both through the moments that have been kept and through those that have been left out.
