Illinois Mail-In Voter Registration Form

REDESIGN

The number of registered voters in Illinois reached a record

7.7

7.7 million in the last presidential election.

13.5%

of those who registered mailed in the form to the election office.

What do these forms look like?

The Original: unnecessary information at the top takes a lot of time to fill out repetition of information hard to navigate easy to miss important things personal information on the outside confusing second page

The Redesign: clear starting point additional information is optional deadline is highlighted less confusion with rules more enjoyable and faster experience clear instructions for second page discretion with personal information

The redesign will make the registering process easier for the voter and the elections office employees. There will be less mistakes and it will encourage more registrations and more follow through.
