LONDON TRIP. Images all taken by me when exploring London. On this trip I investigated the connection between fashion and art over the last 100 years. I also focused my research on understanding how fashion itself has evolved. I visited the V&A, the Barbican Museum, The London College of Fashion and the Fashion and Textiles Museum as part of my research journey.

FRONT COVER DEVELOPMENT.
FRONT COVER INSPIRATION. I took inspiration from this image shot to advertise Elsa Schiaparelli and Salvador Dali’s jewellery collection in the 1930s. I particularly like the surrealist feal of the image and chose to recrerate the inage using my own photography and photoshop skills to make a modern take on the original for my front cover.

COLLAGE WORK.
Handmade collage celebrating the collaboration between Salvador Dali and Elsa Schiapparelli.
MY T-SHIRT.
I printed my own t-shirt using a design I made on photoshop. The collage was inspired by Andy Warhol and the pop art movement. I chose to shoot the photographs of my top in front of an old fashioned1960s police box. I styled it with double denim, a popular combination with the youth of the time as Levi was beginnig to nd its feet on the market outside of exsisting for practical use but for fashion and style purposes. Using pop art on my tshirt is the ultimate combination of art meets fashion, the two exsist as one within this graphic T.
