Preliminary 3D drawings for the piece
Sanding down the drawers to prep them for paint.
Went dumpster diving for a tarp to paint on (Pictured is the current house that my grandparents are building from a plan I drew for them)
I had to place a board over the inside of the drawers because I didn’t want them to be painted. Pictured is a sage green and clear coat paint. The paint was then applied in multiple layers.
I then had to refinish the top we used for the desk.
While everything took time to dry I cut the boards for the frame to attach the drawers.
We then clamped and screwed in the wood to the metal base.
Because I refurbished old drawers I had to clean the brass handles to give them a new look.
We then attached the drawers by drilling holes into the top so we could fit a tool down into the drawer to fasting It to the base.
Last of all we glued and clamped the top to the drawers and let it dry over the weekend.
