Hi! I’m Gabrielle, an Aquarius who's also a graphic designer in progress. I have been interested in graphic design since high school, and learned illustrating along the way of being a graphic design student at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. My main designs usually revolve around layouting, illustrating, and sometimes video editing and simple motion graphics. I’d like to be a designer who creates design-based solutions to problems that could be an advocate of change.

DESCRIPTION This was my most recent project that I finished at University, which is my Final Project in my 7th Semester. I started from the problem of astrology and horoscope being a misconception in the public eye, because of its popularity and generalization, making it not what it seemed to be. From the process of collecting data through research, interviews, and discussions, to beginning the design process from creative thinking and deciding the concept and elements, I then designed an informational book about astrology in the form of a visual journal concept. This concept takes the readers through a storytelling experience while learning about astrology in a fun, and guiding way.

DESCRIPTION This was an assignment from the core subject in my university in 2018. The brief was to design a pocket book about graphic design in a famous designer’s style. I chose Ohara Hale as the designer I chose to follow. Her style of illustration was using pastel and toned down colors, with childlike characters, and a pencil-like brush. The concept for this book was fun and bright, a delightful book to read for beginners in graphic design.

The Kupang Travel Guide was an assignment from the core subject in my university. The brief was to choose a city in Indonesia and create a travel guide for it. I chose Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur, because of the unpopularity of the city. I wanted to make a tourist-friendly guide in a city that isn’t your typical travel destination. The visual direction was illustrative and fun, easy and friendly to read for tourists who are not familiar with Kupang as a travel destination.

Zodiac Practical Guide DESCRIPTION

The Zodiac Travel Guide was an assignment from my university. The brief was to make a practical guide in the form of cards, and I chose the topic of zodiac and astrology. The big idea and concept was outer-space in an outline illustration style, with gradient colors to make the cards look chromatic. The cards are divided into four sections; The Zodiac, Introduction, History, and Fun Fact, which are all pocket-sized practical informations that could easily be read anywhere you go.

2020 Calendar for Surya Palacejaya DESCRIPTION

Surya Palacejaya is a paper company that traditionally publish visually appealing calendars evey year to show their paper's quality. As a team, we worked on the desk calendar, and personally, I got to design for half of the cover and also the month of January. The theme of the calender is 60 of colorful years, and we decided to take on the style of Graphic Designers around the world, and for January, I took on the style of the illustration designer, Ohara Hale.

is important as it is the core of the brand, the message that represents the brand as a whole.

G'litik Indonesian Eatery is an Indonesian restaurant that has a specialty in Jogjakarta foods that are spicy. The client's objective was to give customers the experience of having spicy food at an affordable price at the competitive area of Senopati, South Jakarta, with a classic Jogjakarta cuisine that makes customers come back for more. I took on a style of classic designs and warm tones, with supergraphic of Batik to represent the Indonesian heritage.

LOGO STORY The dynamic logo represents the name of G'litik (menggelitik lidah), as if the type dances around one another.

LOGO STORY Porch brings coziness and comfort, with negative kerning in the logo type representing proximity, and the "O" in Porch resembling a doorknob to a house.


Porch Furniture DESCRIPTION Porch Furniture is a startup business with my own Dad. He's an interior design consultant, and his love for furniture is what started this brand. Porch sells furniture that is made with high quality materials, including teak wood. We aim to tell a story on how these furnitures are very high quality, and instantly makes you feel home. The wood grain is unique to every product, because they are made by order. Visually, Porch Furniture goes for a high quality feel and comfort, that is reflected in the choice of typography and colors.

DESCRIPTION

Ree DermaWellness is a beauty company that sells haircare products such as hair oil and growth shampoo. My responsibilities at Ree DermaWellness was to design for their Instagram stories and feeds, creating content for their TikTok, brainstroming concepts for every month's photoshoot theme, designing their website banners, and lastly, designing digital advertismenets such as Instagram and FaceBook ads and Google Discovery ads. The overall theme for Ree DermaWellness' design is feminine and fun, with mostly vector designs.

LIT Bakehouse is a small online bakery business that sells premium cakes and desserts, with a fun approach to its visual storytelling in their brand image. The strategy to their promotion is to establish a fun and outgoing communication. The implementation are wild and out of the box ideas to make these products sell more, while still retaining the brand's image. To achieve that, I used dynamic placings of the titles and motions (INSTAGRAM: @LIT_BAKEHOUSE)

Konser Inspirasi Cinta was a concert hosted by Yovie Widianto Music Factory (YWMF), featuring known artists like Tulus, Raisa, Kahitna, and many more. As a team, we were asked to come up with a strategy for the promotion, and the implementations for it. It consists of illustrations, motion graphics, posters for merchandise, content planning, and video editing. Personally, my part was ideating the contents, designing posters for the main concert and merchandise, and illustrating the assets for motion graphics.
