Commissioned by the Hughes family in memory of Bob and Ginny Hughes
The traditional tune and text is set to a traditional harmony with rich harmonic turns, it includes a solo part for the violin, and a very flowing, landscape-descriptive piano part in which images of church bells and images of the Shenandoah river at the introduction.
