The GAC Hybrid Program has provided me with incredible flexibility within my school schedule, enabling me to prioritize both my tennis training and academic pursuits. Although I’ve explored other online programs, none have matched the level of success I’ve achieved through the Hybrid Program. It truly stands out as a unique opportunity, fulfilling the aspirations of athletes like myself.

WHAT

WILL

MY SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?

The most typical schedule will be a combination of four on-campus courses and three online courses with training integrated throughout the day.

However, schedules are customized to the needs of each individual player.

GAC has a two-semester calendar year. In addition to traditional face-to-face learning, GAC students may take online classes, designated with “OL” on transcripts, through Ethos School.

GAC Synchronous Learning also known as “GAC Sync,” is a learning modality offered to our students who regularly attend GAC in person. If a student cannot attend class in person due to an athletic competition or other reasons, they can utilize the Sync platform to log in and virtually attend their classes in real-time. These remote students can still see and interact with their teachers and peers as if they were physically present.

Hybrid Learning offers students pursuing the arts, athletics, or other focus areas at an elite level to take a half day of classes on campus and the rest through Ethos School.

Ethos School GAC operates the Ethos School, a fully online, asynchronous platform delivering our GAC approved curriculum. www.ethosschool.org .

Advanced Placement courses are college-level courses offered by trained high school teachers in the regular high school setting. Students who score at the 3, 4 or 5 level on the AP exam may be able to earn college credit for these courses.

HOUSING AND BOARDING

For full-time students, the single-family homes serve as their permanent residence throughout the academic year. They have their own private bedrooms and share common areas such as the living room, kitchen, and dining area with their fellow housemates. This setup allows them to develop strong bonds with their peers and create a sense of camaraderie within their “home away from home.”

For part-time students or guests, we offer the option of staying in one of our single-family homes on a temporary basis. This could be for a short-term training program, a tournament, or any other tennis-related activity that requires them to be in the Atlanta area. Our aim is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for these individuals, ensuring that they have a pleasant stay while they pursue their tennis goals. Regardless of whether they are full-time students or part-time guests, everyone residing in our housing facilities can enjoy the benefits of delicious home-cooked meals.

At Greater Atlanta Christian School, we believe that a nurturing and supportive environment is essential for the holistic development of our students. By offering single-family homes with full-time supervision by resident house parents, we strive to create a true home away from home for our tennis academy participants. From transportation to laundry, from guidance to delicious meals, we are dedicated to providing a comprehensive support system that allows our students to focus on their tennis training and academic pursuits with peace of mind.

What sets the GAC high performance program apart from other organizations is our focus on the whole player maximizing their potential in a purposeful training environment. We achieve these results by intentionally providing a low student to pro ratio allowing our coaches to maximize each players goals. Our approach provides GAC high performance players with the best possible resources so they can succeed at the highest level.

GAC’s rigorous training and academic standards create the perfect environment for those looking to achieve at the highest level in all areas. You will not find another college prep institution that combines world class education and high performance tennis all on one campus.

“Ethos is the perfect educational platform for our daughter’s tennis training and school priorities. With weekly assignments and interactive video sessions with genuine teachers, it offers a normal classroom experience. One of her teachers even recognized her on TV during the Australian Open, which made her feel valued and supported beyond the online classroom environment.” - Mark, Ethos parent
