ONE OF OUR SOCIAL IMPACT STORIES Miles away from the bustling capital city of Rajasthan, in the small village of Udaipuria, the Reggers, meaning cobbler communtiy produces traditional footwears called Mojaries.

Mahesh was born in the same community, thus inheriting the profession. However, seeing the same things being made generation on generation, he got frustrated and left for the city in search of challenging work. He found one in a small time exporter house.

For 10 years, he worked with utmost dedication and loyalty to serve his employer and mastered to create contemporary leather products.

However, things changed after he saw a bike passing by the lanes of his village, children tailing it as it vroomed.

For days that followed, his son, age 14, kept blabbering about the gearless bike. Waiting to gift the same bike to his son on his birthday, Mahesh asked his employer for a loan but in return received a cold shoulder.

Further persuasion led to him getting kicked out from employment.

Elements has had the privilege of collaborating with Mahesh and providing him with channels to bring his long mastered art of leatherworks to light. We are proud that we able to provide Mahesh and his close community members with sustainable livelihood and growth opportunities through our contemporary merchandise designs and their upfront acceptability.
