Students in Mr. Prior's Apologetics and Evangelism class were recently asked to serve their community in a selfless act of kindness. The guidelines for this assignment were broad, but the purpose was to raise "ministry awareness". The hope was to nurture a greater desire to serve others, to engage with the community at large, and to meet the real needs that currently exist in our world. Students were asked to answer following questions: How has your community service made you think differently about yourself and others? What were some of your God sightings? and What steps will you take to continue being a servant of God? These students did a number of good deeds like: helping the elderly, classroom tutoring, being a mentor to younger GCA students, participating in youth group outreach activities, becoming a teacher's aid and partnering with area humanitarian efforts. Many of the participants said they felt the moving of the Holy Spirit or were "touched" to do more for their community. Some even felt that God gave them clearer direction on upcoming career possibilities. Now, these students would like to pose the question to you: "What are you doing today to serve God right where you are?"
