STUDIO CITY HEADQUARTERS Client: Confidential Team: Yan Krymsky, Sasha Krylov, Max Hu, Gala Murguia Description: A company was looking to expand their headquarters from New York to Los Angeles, the design sought to explore the differences between the cities and lifestyles and reflect them in the form and program.
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RIVERSIDE CAMPUS EXPANSION Client: University of California, Riverside Team: Yan Krymsky, Nick Seierup, Mohsen Ghanbari, Max Hu, Gala Murguia Description: The university wanted to expand their housing and create an urban design to connect the existing campus to the proposed buildings. A new larger dining hall was also provided to accommodate the growth of the living population.
UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURG MEDICAL CENTER BED TOWER EXPANSION Client: University of Pittsburg Team: Nick Seierup, Justin Brechtel, Gala Murguia Description: The hospital wanted to add a bed tower and connect it to its existing hospital and also remodel the existing hospital. The new bed tower connects to the rest of the campus on the 3rd floor and creates a centeral hub where the hospital, bed tower, research and university come together.
AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF BEIRUT HOSPITAL CLINICAL INTERIORS Client: AUB Team: Yan Krymsky, Max Hu, Sasha Krylov, Gala Murguia Description: The client asked to re-design the clinical interior in order to bring together the clinical interior with the building design and public interior spaces. We focused on color and light around the nurse alcoves, patient rooms and nurse station to strengthen the overall concept.

Planned Parenthood Baldwin Park Remodel Client: Planned Parenthood Pasadena San Gabriel Valley Team: Yan Krymsky, Gala Murguia Description: Planned Parenthood bought a property in Baldwin Park to provide health care for this underserved community. The scope was to provide conceptual exterior design and renderings for fundraising. The design gives patients a safe, private, and peaceful place to receive health care.

Los Angeles Olympic Rowing Facility LOCATION: LAKE CASITAS AREA: 23,000 SQ. FT. DESIGNER: GALA MURGUIA INSTRUCTOR: AARON NEUBERT This training center accomodates both the visitor and the athlete. Itรข€™s designed for each of their individual experience, both programatically and circulatory. The visitor is guided directly to the cafe and the viewing/exhibition bridge, while the athlete gets guided to the gym or the locker rooms, each with their own paths. I was interested in looking at transitions of different elements and this design has taken this and applied it to space, material, program and specifically user. Each user has its own design element, the visitor has the facetted principle and the athlete has a lean/smooth principle. My next approach is to find a way to transition these spaces, through materiality and space.
