My thesis explores using sport, specifically boxing, as therapy for mental health in Merthyr Tydfil, to leverage its historic boxing legacy. It advocates for prioritizing community well-being, learning from past industrial hardships, and utilizing the Cyfarthfa Ironworks location to create a successful social intervention.
