Exhibition of Diploma Works of Graduates of the Arts Department of the Opole University. The Contemporary Art Gallery has been cooperating with the Opole University in the promotion of the creative output of young artists for many years. The annual exhibition hosted by the Contemporary Art Gallery is an excellent opportunity to get to know the work of the local graduates.

SU M M ER H O LIDAY S 1 6– 2 0 .0 7 ( by e n r ol m e n t on l y) O PEN W O R K S H O P The ‘Summer Holidays & Art’ ‘open studio’ – this plein air workshop for children aged 10–13 is a good way to spend some quality time! During the summer holidays, the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole will offer a drawing and painting course for children and teenagers. The meetings will have a form of plein air workshops. We will leave the studio space to look at the landscape and the urban architecture. Observations of nature will come alive on paper as the participants will paint using the techniques learnt. All the painting materials necessary during the workshop are provided by the course organiser. Lives in Düsseldorf. Since 1992, has been employed as a sound engineer and assistant operator by WDR – a German TV station in Cologne. Has worked with photography for many years. Appreciates the values stemming from the spontaneity of meeting other people, therefore his photographs are most often taken in the streets of towns and cities all over the world. Is fascinated by the uniqueness of each human face; using the camera, consistently creates portraits of the people he meets. The photographs presented make up but a part of his collection of over 4,500 faces.

We are interested in the Polish and world art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Each exhibition gives us a pretext to undertake educational activities run all school year long. We encourage teachers and pupils to participate in the guided tours of the exhibitions, in discussions and in art presentations as well as in workshops run especially for organised groups. The Autumn Saloon is the annual contest and overview of the achievements of the Opole-based artistic milieu organised by the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. The origins of this prestigious event, which has been held by the Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole for many years, date back to the turn of 1950s and 1960s . Ever since that time, it has become well established in the artistic agenda of Opole. The Autumn Saloon is a cross-disciplinary event.
In 2008 graduated summa cum laude from the Institute of Art of the University of Opole in Graphic Art and Painting, also graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in Interior Design. His creative output includes painting, drawing, graphics and illustrations. The artist’s work can be found in numerous private collections in Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland and the US.
