Following the recent events in honor of women such as Women’s Month and Mother’s Day, Galerie Raphael Davao continues to praise femininity and its inherent strength, resilience, and beauty in “Blooming Energies”.
The three-woman exhibit narrates the different facets and features of the modern femme, where each artist brilliantly parallels one’s artistic vision from the other – all different in concept and technique yet telling the same story that comprises a vibrant deluge of color, texture, and form
Gabby Prado’s artistic style stems from her chromesthesia, a form of synesthesia in which she connects auditory sensations to ranges of color. She narrates her thoughts and emotions in heavily expressionistic shapes, strokes, and patterns of bold color, amassing an intense feeling in each individual work. The artist’s works are inspired by her everyday experiences with her hearing disability that are translated into boldly emotional abstractions, offering her viewers a synesthetic experience that is tangibly emotional for the senses.
Flowers in art represent a multitude of human expressions Haraya Ocampo-Tejido derives her bright, sunny and colorful illustrations from within. Naturally a positive thinker, she explores the complexities of womanhood and motherhood through detailed, contrasted and textured depictions of flowers. Emanating themes of love, passion and purity, Haraya’s floral stories serve as an ode to women’s strength and humility
Camille Ver is a dedicated artist that commits to her colors. Taking inspiration from the Rococo period in art, her colorful abstractions all tell their own story, and each story gets deeper as we examine every nuance her paintings present Essentially, Ver’s oeuvre for this exhibit is resolute and free from technical constraints, letting her colors shine, unweave and breathe a sense of life onto the canvas
“Blooming Energies” is a visual narrative that exhibits the blossoming spiritual power that women naturally exude. For Gabby Prado, Haraya Tejido, and Camille Ver, women are to be celebrated everyday as they bring forth the surging energy of emotional tenderness in existence and being
