This seasonal celebration is a joyful jukebox musical that finds the Wonderettes singing group—overachiever Missy, ‘bad girl’ Cindy Lou, happy-go-lucky Suzy and endearingly goofy Betty Jean—entertaining at a holiday party. When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party! Featuring great ‘60s versions of holiday classics such as “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Run, Rudolph, Run,” and “Winter Wonderland,” the result is, of course, marvelous!

A jury must decide whether a 19-year-old man is guilty of murder. Tempers flare as 11 jurors try their best to convince one dissenter to vote guilty, too. As the evidence is re-examined, uncertainties come to light, forcing everyone to question if some measure of “reasonable doubt” exists. This heightened courtroom thriller, inspired by the 1957 Henry Fonda film Twelve Angry Men, will be set in the present day with a diverse cast, and it will put you on the edge of your seat while exploring what it means to live in a democracy.

[Editor’s Note: This performance originally was announced for April 6, 2023. Due to a conflict in Mr. Robinson’s schedule, the show was postponed until August 11, and because of demand, a second show was added on August 12.]
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson’s career spans over four decades of hits. Born and raised in Detroit, Robinson founded The Miracles while still in high school and inspired Berry Gordy to found the Motown Record dynasty. Their single of Robinson’s “Shop Around” became Motown’s first #1 hit on the R&B singles chart. In the years following, Robinson continued to pen hits for the group, including “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “Ooo Baby Baby,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Going to a Go-Go,” “More Love,” “Tears of a Clown” (co-written with Stevie Wonder), and “I Second That Emotion.” You’ll want to be here for Smokey’s first appearance at the Center since 2012.

The band’s members have been influenced by and admirers of Fleetwood Mac for many years and strive to not only recreate their unmistakable, enchanting sound, but also to give it the honor it so rightly deserves. Carole King is the most successful female singer/songwriter of the 20th century. She has written an astounding 118 hit songs, and her album Tapestry sold over 25 million copies, was #1 for 16 weeks, and held the record for the longest charting album by a female solo artist in the U.S. for more than 40 years.
The Stephanie D Band brings back wonderful memories of Carole King with this celebration of the 50th anniversary Tapestry, her masterwork. This is not an impersonation, but a loving tribute to the woman who wrote the soundtrack for a generation. Stephanie Damilanos’ elegant piano and powerful vocals are showcased on such hits as “ I Feel the Earth Move,” “ It’s Too Late,” “ You’ve Got a Friend,” “ Where You Lead ” and so many more. Stephanie, her band and a narrator will introduce you to many of King’s songs, including who made them hits, in this very fun, very upbeat concert.
