Galveston College (GC) is a fully accredited, two-year community college offering a bachelor’s degree, associate degrees, and certificates in academic, technical, and professional programs. GC is conveniently located on Galveston Island along the Gulf Coast of Texas. Our palm-lined campus is an eclectic blend of historic and modern architecture. With well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, a student center, an auditorium, a fine arts gallery, a library, and a counseling and advising center, you will have all of the resources you need to be successful. The fitness center is open to all students and features a gymnasium, weight-training equipment, and an aerobics classroom.
GC is an open admission institution. Admissions application opens October 1.

How to apply: 1. Submit an ApplyTexas Admissions Application. 2. Submit all official transcripts. 3. Take the TSI assessment. 4. Submit bacterial meningitis vaccination documentation (unless exempt).
FINANCIAL AID Scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment are several financial aid options available to qualified applicants. For more information, please visit the Financial Aid website at gc.edu or call 409-944-1235. How to apply: 1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov.
2. Review your Student Aid Report (SAR).
3. Submit required documentation (official transcripts, tax information, etc.) to the Financial Aid Office. FAFSA opens October 1. Complete the Scholarship Application. Universal Access Community Endowment Scholarship* • Covers tuition and required fees for full-time and part-time students for a 60-credit hour associate degree. • Learn more at gc.edu.
